vertauris 0
Hello all, I have a small problem for what I couldnt find any solution I play Sacred 2 Ice&blood on patch 2.65.1 and every time when I use incendiary shower before the first one finishes couse of a 2sec cooldown I cant use it in the same spot for example at boss when I keep spamming the skill my HE casts it all of the screen. the only way to cast a 2 or more showers in same spot is w8 a few sec after one ends and cast anothers so in that way I cant keep stronger enemies in shower. I dont know if anyone have the same issue or its normal ? so I ask the community on this forum for help Link to comment
locolagarto 15
Welcome to Dark! Vertauris! I feel your pain brother. I did a couple videos in my Piromante build. (see in my sig) I still get some stray showers, but the key is to maintain a targeting circle. which is not easy. I found holding both left and right mouse buttons on the target, with concentration on the mouse pointer is key. it takes practice and you'll get better. good luck Link to comment
gogoblender 3,068
heh, Loco's already given you the best advice on the block... don't forget to check out his build Ventauris: Loco's Piromante And welcome to DarkMatters! gogo Link to comment
Dobri 55
I also get stray showers, especially if the enemy moves there is some slight server lag - I have noticed showers going to a place where my mouse was a split-second ago... You'll learn to deal with them, and do not worry Tthe easiest way is to target the boss, ensure you're tough enough to survive the 1-on-1, right click on the boss and hold Link to comment
vertauris 0
Big thanks for help I was getting frustrated couse of this but I see its not my game fault I will practice to use it better, tks again Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
You have my sympathy Vertauris. I know that it can be a very frustrating problem, especially when you are fighting for your life. I have the same problem with the Dragon Mage and his Dragon Strike. I call the strike on a group of monster who are beating the poo out of me and frequently see the strike hitting an innocent piece of grass 20 yards away! Link to comment

Its a similar problem podgie, but in the case of dragon strike it's a terrain problem not a targeting problem. Dragon strike has a kind of primative targeting system that does not compensate for terrain. So it tends to be spot on for flat ground and hit or miss with any kind of unlevel ground or obstacles. *that dragon need GPS and a bombardier. * Link to comment

Then the dragon strike would be right on regardless of terrain! Sacred 3 maybe? Maybe we can have "smart" fireballs launched? Oh be still my beating heart! Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
Maybe we should have the option to mod the CA for radar lock, or even just to get the dragon Spectacles? Edited August 14, 2010 by podgie_bear Link to comment
Dobri 55
Or simply implement a hunter-seeker algorithm? Link to comment

czevak 57
Or simply implement a hunter-seeker algorithm? Hmmm...can't help but wonder what the addition of an innoccent "et_target_seeker" token would do to the mentioned Combat Arts. I will have a look at those... Link to comment

vertauris 0
I must say that holding the left mouse button and spaming right to use incendiary shower works great and now all bosses became way easier to be honest "meteors" are now one of my favourite skills tks for the advice again Link to comment
FrostElfGuard 9
So....LMB is target lock, and RMB is casting the spell/combat art. Holding down LMB keeps the targeting refreshed so that when you can activate the combat art it has a fairly good chance of making the target? Good to know! Link to comment

We can test and verify That's the technique I use with Incendiary Shower as well. A firm hold on the target area with the left button and a firm hold on the right with the CA active. Then I shorten the regen time with an occasional concentration potion. Link to comment
r00ster 1
Another brilliant way to work spells like these, is let the game aim them for you. I.e. High Elf. Combo = expulse magic > incendiary shower. This if you have expulse modded (properly that is), will offer the best possible protections for HE vs. bosses, as well the game is usually a sniper. Takes some getting used to letting go of the 'reigns' but it works fantastic. Cheers, Link to comment
AxP 0
as already mentioned before, just hold down the right click on the mob and it will instantly refresh IS when the regentime is rdy to cast again. also I found out that when I did that my IS(insindiary shower) never moved/strayed away from its target. not bosses or anykind of mobs Link to comment
lujate 575
I am having this problem now that I have switched to the PC version. I stood toe-to-toe with the Kobold Chieftain, but probably 1 in 3 IS still missed. Back on my ps3, it was a lot slower to use but the accuracy was spot-on. I will definitely try the suggestions here. Also, I think it is kind of funny. I was joking tonight that my HE needed either corrective lenses or a better bombardier/forward observer. I read this thread, and you guys were making the same jokes. Edit: Holding down the mouse button did not fire IS when the regen was full. I found the EM/IS combo to work quite well; the biggest downside being the added casting time for EM. It even targets enemies that are invisible. Edited March 4, 2011 by lujate Link to comment
Slevin 10
The problem why it's not possible to target the enemy when casting Incendiary Shower is the shaking camera. You can disable this feature by adding the following line in the optionscustom.txt : camera.cameraShake = 0 1 Link to comment

I just figured she was blind as a bat, but too vain to wear glasses. Link to comment
lujate 575
Due to PC issues, I just now got around to giving this a try. I had to look up "optionscustom.txt", because I was unfamiliar with it. I found this post that contains detailed instructions: Guide to Customizing the Sacred 2 Camera View I made this change immediately before facing the Octagolamus and my HE pounded it into the ground with a continuous stream of Incendiary Showers. 1 Link to comment
