An exception has occurred Error #: 1 function: ParticleSystemManager::createSystem Description: template not found "fx_butterfly" File: D:\Projects\Sacred2_patch\Orc\System\Graphics\particle\particleSystemMgr.cpp line: 199 Any suggestions? Schot 407 Posted August 15, 2010 Share Posted August 15, 2010 Hiya kaugustino and welcome. See if you can find the file it asks for in a folder relative to the below path. Basically look in your Sacred 2 install folder for /scripts/particle. Inside that folder you should find among the many .fx files a file called "fx_butterfly.particle". C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\particle If you don't find it then that is your problem. Create a new txt file in that folder, name it fx_butterfly.particle, open the file in Notepad, copy/paste the below contents into Notepad and then save the file. After that hopefully Sacred 2 will run for you. I have this error when I run the Ice and Blood CM patch. I have to disable the Gore option in the gameplay options the avoid the error. but I don't know what causes it. Link to comment
