Scything Sweep Mods

Ok another Munera's silly question :)

I know it is very common to modify this CA for more damage, critical hits and the famous rage mode. However, I'm very curious about the Knockback-Hurl synergy. I tried it long time ago, but there were lots of patches left and honestly I had very little knowledge about Sacred 2 mechanics and all that stuff.

My SW is DW, so to begin with we only have 1/2 damage (same as only 1 weapon). Moreover, I'm planning to put it in a combo before Demonic Blow and FR. This is already good for crowd control, and I won't have neither enough time nor accuracy to land the rage's amassed damage (and maybe even the proper place), since my style is more like tactical-frenzied combat rather than a heavy and slow one.

Perhaps if I modifiy it the other way round (knockback-stun-hurl) I will get a beautiful Area of Effect and a good synergy with Damage Lore, as well as a nice defensive tactic; or maybe I'm just so confused. I'm very interested in reading any opinions or feelings about this, or any other experiences or ideas you may have and want to share

Knockback - Increases the chance to knock opponents back. If they tumble against additional opponents they will inflict damage upon impact. (12.5% + 0.2% per CA level chance / +50% from base value)

Intent - Chance to land critical hits. (9.9% + 0.1% per CA level chance)

Hurl - The sweep hurls slain opponents away as projectiles. (100% chance)

I wouldn't put this first in the combo. I would have it as a separate CA for the emergency, get off me, type of CA. Or at the end of the Demonic blow, Frenzied Rampage........ if anything can live thru all that.

ps: as they are being knocked back I think stun would be a waste because as they are being knocked back they don't attack anyway.

Thx furian! I will definitely get those mods. Btw, I've placed it in a combo followed by Dem. Blow and FR and it's perfect for mobs. Good synergy with Damage lore. Let's see how does it work with Hurl. Thx again for your reply :)

If you have modded demonic for -armor and other debuffs, try putting it first.

I have the Scything on my SW modded knockback, stun, and hurl.

I use it as cleanup and segway into repeating the combo (vault, demonic, frenzy, sweep).

I have actually never tried 'rage' mod because hurl is just too damned cool looking lol.

I don't care if its better, more dmg etc, because nothing makes me smile more than seeing bodies flying around.

Cheers,

Took the words right out of my mouth, lol I never did the rage mod for that reason as well. I remember just trying to run my SW always through super crowded areas just to see bodies go up in the air like bowling ten pins.

:)

They come back again heh^^ Perhaps stun will fit better in my build than the other mod.

I've tried it alone but some FR will be cool. I'll swap places in the combo and see what happens. Hope it's just as powerful as good fun! :)

Thx for your replies :)

Hello.

I would like to use Demonic Blow and Scything sweep in a combo. I modded Scything sweep for: Force, Intent,Rage. My Demonic Blow mods are: Vehemence, Fraility, Life Leech. Can they work together properly and how to use them in a combo together?
