Heya

 

I had a nice conversation with r00ster yesterday. He was sharing some of his SW knowledge with me and, in his wisdom, said: SW is the only one who can use 2h hafted for a reason. Suddenly a light turned on in my head: I mentally combined my ongoing hybrid build with the previous "physical-guys" ones.

 

My Blitzkrieger's skill were:

Offensive: Tactics, DW and Damage Lore

Defensive: Armor, Toughness, Consti

CAs: Both melee focuses, Concen and Discipline.

 

I just need to change some of the CAs mods to reduce phys armor and wound enemies, so my playstile won't change a lot. I'll only have to swap DW for hafted, and release Damage Lore, so "now" I have a free skill with 75 points ready to master it. I was thinking about Spell Resistance, but Grim Resilience and some recovery potions will do it. I don't want to get Reflexes neither cos it doesn't fit in my build and AG can replace it. There's only Blacksmith left. I know 75 points is enough but my build is aimed at killing, being a butcher, not a forger. I don't know what to do. I like the last option but don't want to ruin the build, so I'll let the community enlighten me :thumbsup:

I don't think there are any good options other than damage lore, spell resistance, and combat reflexes. Riding maybe as it reduces regerations. Speed lore is worth about 4 sockets mastered in attack%/defense%. The run speed is worthless due to gear. Divine devotion is terrible. Sword, Shield, ranged, etc are redundant.

 

You could try dropping 9 pts in astral focus and using shadow veil on dragons? You would have to be high level to get 25 combat art with only 9 focus.

Shadow Veil can be interesting, but it's just not my cup of tea. However, now that you have mentioned Astral Focus, I can put less points in tactics and consti and try to master that skill and Concentration, being able to use the infernal minions and bringing the corpses back to life. Those CAs (Nether Allegance and Rallied Souls) only or mostly benefit from the focus. Yeah, that would be good fun. What do you think?

Any damage is welcome but I feel you will be doing much more damage melee than the minions can hope to do. It won't be noticeable until niob when the health of the monsters gets so high that your scrounging for damage.

 

I feel damage lore would deal out more pain :)

But Damage Lore doesnt increase chance for wounds :)

 

I think having a few minions will be amusing. They will keep enemies' attention and gather them, so all I'll have to do is go and kill them :hugs: It is both a defensive and offensive tactical CA. With Astral Focus I'll be able to use Rallied Souls and Veil too. Thx a lot for the idea mate :)

Oh I get it you are using the reduce physical armor mod on axes? Yeah astral focus could be fun. I love my minion build. It is cool to see about 6 jaguars tearing up the garemas :)

 

A tip for rallied soul is to put it in your main combo. That way you can cast it without too much effort. And you have a steady amount of minions. The animation fortunately is very fast.

I have tried all the mods.

 

I find armor to fail because one monster cannot kill one monster for the most part. They don't draw enough agro to get swarmed. And it is really difficult to remember where all the corpses are and run over to a corpse when maybe its not the spot you want to be for other reasons. Also it often means the difference between reviving 2 versus 1

 

The contagion mod can be cool but these things have trouble dealing the killing blow because they are doing a small proportion of the damage. When you get a swarm maybe sometimes. But the main reason is that if you put Rallied Soul in a combo there is no need for minions to cause the revive. More damage from the minions is needed. Rooster said the second didn't scale unless lore is taken so maybe take contagion for your build.

 

The 50 second duration is great and sometimes there aren't 3 bodies on the ground which wastes the other power.
