Youtube Movies Now So Easy To Post

Recommended Posts

Cheers guys! We had been looking around for quite a while before we finally discovered this gem of a skin. There's been some huge changes in this latest version of IPB and so I'll have to relearn most everything I previosly learned about IPB systems. Should be fun though! Now that we're up to date we can have all kinds of fun with addons and such. We'll try to list out a full list of features in the coming days. :)

Sterling Silver may return yet but even if it does I'm considering giving it away as a free skin to IPB owners. Course I'll have to update it to fit the new skinning system... Who knows right!

Enjoy guys and feel free to point things out. We've got quite a bit of fixing up to do around here and in the process it's possible we haven't seen or caught something, so let us know! For now I'll be working on fixing up the bbcode around here, spacing and some broken images on the wiki. Most likely I may have to actually upgrade the ipbwiki mod that has been abandoned by it's creator for about 8 months now... Thank god I love this stuff, heh.

P.s.

Oh cool! Try this one... Easy Youtube embedding. You just paste the whole Youtube video address Url into your post and the forum auto embeds it. Sweet.

P.p.s.

BBcode does in fact work if you know how to type it. For example:

Bold

Just click on the button top right called media code in posting field and just copy/paste the youtube code in.

A VB forum I have seen actually has it so that you don't even need to click on the BB Code...just put in the link and Presto...insta movie.

I'm not sure how hot that is though...specially if you didn't want the link to emerge immediately as a video...maybe as an option?

lol, can't get multiquote to work! :oooo:

DB, sure he mentioned it first... but check out the trailer packaged with mine! :4rofl:

Wolfie, do you have a link to another forum that allows that? It sounds like very useful and exciting functionality.

I never did say "forum" - I did say other sites.. For instance, here's one embedded into a ZDNet story on the Samsung Galaxy Tab...

Then there's the iconic http://icanhascheezburger.com/ - their vids are allowed to go full screen as well.

Danged Youtube and their bianual embed code alterations. Ugh! Ok, fullscreen button is no longer missing in action. Why can't everything just stay the same forever? Is that so much to ask, lol.

Ahem. I mean... Yaaaaaay! Fun with Youtube links. :D

I ahve no idea what Also Sprach Zaruthastra means... :)

It's a piece of music by Richard Srauss - the begining portion of which (entitled "Sunrise") is best known as the opening music for 2001: A Space Oddessy.
