Where's The Darn Harpy Queen In Bangaresh?

Recommended Posts

So like a lot of quests where the target is underground, the Kill the Harpy Queen quest (or whatever it's called) keeps pointing me to a nearby cave. If I DESELECT the quest it points to an area of desert, but nothing is there if I go there. If I SELECT it, it points to a nearby cave, which is actually the tomb of that dead King that you have to take Gelminy (sorry, I know that's spelled wrong) to, to get the amulet for her after a multistage quest. No Harpy Queen in sight. If I get further away from the tomb and then select the quest, unlike most quests it doesn't point to the nearest hole any more, it just points back to that spot of desert.

Any ideas for location?

PS thanks for the help on the Adventure Tours quest and Merry Chrimbo!

PPS there's also a 'question mark' when I get near the sort of middle, north of bangaresh, up in those mountains. How the heck do I get to it? There seems no way through the hills from this side.

The Harpy queen is in a cave north of East Turbak. Check out the desert region on the Map of Ancaria. Should have everything you need there

As for the other question, is the question mark by the Temple of the Gods? If it is, the actual pathway is to the west of the question mark. The path is kind of hard to see but if the map doesn't help I can take a pic and show location

The question mark only shows up sometimes. I think it's a little below the temple of the gods. It's in the mountains between Bangaresh and the 'state' above. It's more on the Bangaresh side though, the temple is more on the other side. It might be a little to the right or left of the temple. It's not showing up for me right now. Tomorrow I'll get rid of my escorts and move close to the area so I can screenshot it.

Thanks for the advice with the Harpy queen and the map. Very useful :-)

Okay I went back there but there was nothing I could do to take a screen shot. It's at the very bottom of the mountains, closet to the desert, from the Temple of the Gods. It's SSE of there (extreme south, south east). When I tried to take a screen shot it just came out black when I pasted to paint.

BTW big thanks for the help. I got the Harpy QUeen taken care of!

The only quest I can think of off the top of my head involves a 'Decrepit Harpy'. He wants an escort over to the harpy resting place. Both the quest giver and final location are sse of the temple. Are you playing in SP or MP, campaign or freeplay? Also what version are you playing on (Fallen Angel only, expansion patches etc)? I'm kind of curious now what's there :D

I think I'm playing 2.4 or similar. I heard 2.65 is the latest but I haven't upgraded yet. I have ice and blood installed. Single player only. Never got into MMORPG. I think I baulk at the idea of paying extra every month on top of purchasing the game.

No it's not the decrepit harpy. I took her to her resting place ages ago. So annoying that can't take a screenshot. It has something to do with the game I think because when I press print screen, the map flashes off and on again (since I'm trying to photograph the map, I have that open).

Sorry if you know this and already tried but try using CTRL + Print Screen. That's what I use. I can get the directory path it saves it to if you need.

And you should try out MP...it's free for this game :) We're all hanging out on the International servers in Hardcore if you want to stop by :D

WAIT YES!! I said no before because I thought you meant the Temple of the Gods that is surrounded by water further north (in the high elf area). I can see on the map of arcania that the one I need is actually a Temple, but it's on the Bangersh side, south of the other one. I have walked all around the border there and I can't get in. The pic with an arrow would be a great help!

I didn't try with ctrl held down as well LOL. I'll give that a go if all else fails here. Will try MP then for sure, but not now. I have to log off for a while today. I'll have a go later tonight as it's lunch time here.

1.) If you're playing Ice and Blood - then it's either 2.64.0, 2.65.1 or 2.65.2. Plain vanilla Fallen Angel stopped at 2.43. The expansion takes the game up to 2.64 and there have been two patches since then.

2.) You can find out what version you've got installed when you launch the game. It should also appear on the main menu at the bottom left corner. You can also find out by launching the game, loading a character and then pressing the Esc key. The version you've got should be listed on the exit screen.

3.) Sacred 2 is NOT an MMORPG. Once you've bought the game - you can play online for FREE... :D Internet connectivity, of course, not included and is extra. The only thing required are a pair of valid serial numbers (one for Fallen Angel, one for Ice and Blood).

I just killed the harpy queen, bit I thought it was supposed to be a quest which someone should have given me in East Turbak. I went there, following the sacredwiki map but no one was there to give me a quest. Disappointed, I went to the cave and killed the harpy, it gave me just 350xp...no quest, no reward..nothing..Why is that?

Then...following again the map I went to Sands of thousands anthennae..trying to find the quest giver for the Holos...again, no luck...

Are all mini-bosses equally available for the xbox versions of the game as for the pc? I have the collectors edition and have a paper map with it, but it is not a detailed one...so I use the sacredwiki map and draw the bosses on my paper map...but not all of the things match..

The mini-bosses were added in patch 2.43 I believe and at that time no quest givers were associated with them. In the expansion, they all became quest related and had a quest giver near their lair that had to be spoken to in order for them to spawn. That's for the pc version.

That is typical to what I have experienced on ps3. Most (all?) of the mini bosses do not require a quest.

I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

There's no quest giver for the Gyrvim Island Dragon on PC either.

It should still give pretty reasonable rewards? Roughly 100k XP at level 100?

Wow, that's a terrible reward. He's not easy!

He's respawnable and can drop legendaries though, so he's worth the effort.

My guess is that you were too high of level compared to the dragon's level. Sacred bases XP on comparing character level and monster level.
