The Blacksmith skill, am I being ripped off ?

Hi there, this is just a silly thing, so don't take it seriously !

 

I was using my Blacksmith skill earlier, and it struck me............am I being ripped off here ?!

 

I am supplying the item to be socketed, the items to socket, and I am doing the Blacksmithing myself..............who on earth am I paying, and why do I have to pay at all ?!

 

Heh, it took me a while to think about that, lol. I'd love to know where that gold goes..........

Well, I always assumed that I pay those money to get the stuff necessary to complete the smithing - like the proper hammers, extra materials to do the smithing process, coal, rent a smelter and a decent anvil, things like these

Not to mention the beer for after! Blacksmithing is hot work.

I guess I should look at the bigger picture ! It's not as if gold is hard to come by, after all. It was just one of those things that pop into your head...........well, in my case anyway. Shame I never think of anything useful, haha !
