High Elf build advice needed

Hi,

I'm still new to Sacred 2, but am really enjoying it. Getting use to playing this genera after some Settlers 7 and Civ V. Getting ready for Diablo III and Sacred 3 :)

I'm playing with a High Elf, since I really like the Wiz approach.

I'm gone though the Build Guides and am doing a combination of gogoblender and BlackJAC builds.

I have a Ice build with Mystic Stormite Focus and Lire at Character Level. I also have about 12 skill points saved up till I decide in what direction I want to go.

I now have 7 Skills and need some advice on my last 3 choices.

Skills:

Mystic%20Stormite%20Focus.png Mystic Stormite Focus

Mystic%20Stormite%20Lore.png Mystic Stormite Lore

Concentration.png Concentration

Delphic%20Arcania%20Focus.png Delphic Arcania Focus

Delphic%20Arcania%20Lore.png Delphic Arcania Lore

Constitution.png Constitution

Armor%20Lore.png Armor Lore

I'm at level 33 or there abouts and am not sure what 3 skills to end with.

Do I go with Enhanced%20Perception.png Enhanced Perception and so need to take 5 points in Riding, Bargaining or Divine Devotion, leaving me with one shill left, probably, Combat Discipline.

Or do I go all out attach and go with:

Ancient%20Magic.png Ancient Magic

Spell%20Resistance.png Spell Resistance

I guess I need to know if Enhanced Perception will win out against Ancient Magic and Spell Resistance or not?Since I'll be giving both Combat%20Discipline.png Combat Discipline

Lastly,

I've been playing on Silver Difficulty since the beginning and have found it pretty easy. Does it get more challenging on higher levels? At What Level can you go to Gold?

Thanks for any feedback.

I take it you are using the Delphics mainly for Grand Invigoration. Now Delphic Lore does give regen bonus BUT so does eating GI runes and the Silver Mod - Life Energy - Additionally increases the hitpoint regeneration rate. (1.5hp/sec + 1hp/sec per CA level).

Delphic Focus is the best bet so your High Elf doesn't have to eat so many GI runes.

Now on the matter of Enhanced Perception, just put 5 into Bartering then activate Enhanced Perception. Riding and Divine Devotions are frankly just a waste.

For going all out go with the offensive skills and make up for the elemental defenses with artifacts.(The jewels that go into the lower left circle slots of the game's GUI). However if you are not sure about the High Elf's elemental resistance then go with Ancient Magic/Spell Resistance. Ancient Magic has the added bonus of lowering the enemies' spell resistance.(in this case 'ice' based attacks)

Here's some links going into details of the three skills -

Many would say a High Elf would be better off with a one handed weapon so they can equip a shield and use the Shield Skill.

Silver/Gold is said to be easy once a person gets used to it. Its Platinum and Niobium ya gotta watch out for. A lot of people try to get to Level 100 ASAP and beat the game so Niobium opens up.

EP is awesome, definitely recommended. However, bargaining takes a lot of effort to maintain and unless you are planning to leave her as a shopper at a predefined level, it might be better to go the other way. Ancient Magic, Spell Resist and Combat Discipline will make her nice and solid and fun to play.

Eat as many runes into GI as you possibly can. There are no drawbacks.

Are you playing online with the addon?

I do not think that we can compare EP with AM/SR. They all do totally different things! If you were thinking that finding better loot can off-set gaps left by leaving out Ancient Magic and Spell Resistance, it is a bit of a stretch. Yes, it is possible, but not probable. Bargaining can do it a lot better (but not completely), and is a primary General Skill for the elf; but you cannot buy sets, uniques or legendaries in the shops, and EP will help getting them to drop from the enemies. Sorry if I've :Just_Cuz_21: you more.

I don't play on PC, but if you have Ice and Blood then I think it is highly suggested that you have Spell Resistance as the spellcasters in Ice and Blood are deadlier than vanilla Fallen Angel.

I would recommend Ancient Magic for sure, as the baddies in the higher difficulties (either version) have more elemental armour than lower difficulties.

The higher levels will provide better challenges, yes. You will definitely notice the difference when you move from Platinum to Niob.
