Temple Guardian skill advice needed

Hi Everyone.

 

My Brother is havisng a TG at Leveél 45. He is having some problem against Bosses. He has the following skills so far:

Devout Guardian Focus

Tactics Lore

Sword Weapon Lore

Blacksmith

Armor

Warding Energy Lore

Toughness

Sourche Warden Focus

 

What would you recommend for the last two skills? He wants to use "FIERY AMBER" and "ICY EVANESCENCE". Would it be good to take Sourche Warden Lore (more damage) against Bosses? Or Source Warden Focus is just enough and modifying it for slowing down enemies?

Could you give some advice how to mod "ICY EVANESCENCE" and "FIERY AMBER" with FOCUS only (to slow down enemies) and with LORE (for more damage)?

Are Icy Evanescence and Fiery Amber good against bosses? Because He has problem with bosses (Dragon and Scorpions Kings).

 

He uses "Battle extension" against mobs. What do you think would be better against mobs, maybe "DEADLY SPEARS"?

I would take the lore,you want more damage.Mod fiery ember with incinerate,churn,sustain.icy evanescence- ice needles,deep frost,and sustain.Try to remember that causing as many different secondary effects will help with disposing enemies quicker.Damage lore is something to consider as well.

Hey, try not to post the same thing in several places at once of the forum next time please. If you have specific questions related to a guide then post them in the guides thread but not the same post in its thread and on various others, Ive removed the 2 other copies of this post.

 

In regards to your questions, against bosses deathly spears is pretty effective when modded for extra waves and if you stand underneath the boss so almost all of the spikes hit. Also, using battle extension will provide useful extra hits. If you can get the full devout guardian set (Combat Modules or whatever its called) then the %LL from that will help too.

 

As to picking up those source warden Combat Arts, they're going to be fairly useless for damage without both lore and focus and they are never going to deal enough damage against bosses regardless. If you can only pick one of SW lore and SW Focus I suggest taking focus so you can lower regens on the two Combat Arts, mod them for debuffing as follows:

 

Fiery Ember - Scald, Churn (works well with deathly spears if you picked the fire damage mod on for that) and your for 3rd mod.

Icy Evanescence - Freeze, Deep Frost, your choice.

 

Since you can only have one of these Combat Arts running at once I would pick one of them and socket that damge type into your weapons (fiery ember works best I reckon as you get the synergy with deathly spears and theres the added fire DOT for some extra damage) and also pick up Charged grid modded with Substance, Substance and Longevity for extra healing when you pop it in a boss fight. Then you can run around whacking bosses with deathly spears and debuffing somewhat with fiery ember whilst charged grid heals you :)

Combat Discipline

 

Use Fiery Ember for weak guys. And icy also. Mod charge grid for damage because eventually your energy shield is going to dominate. Mod Primal Mutation for damage.

 

Use Fiery Ember to debuff fire resistance exactly as Dragon Brother says for deadly spike. Deadly spike is the boss killer and only purpose for Fiery Ember is to reduce fire resistance. Charge grid can make the weaken effect happen so its good. Battle extension makes left clicks do double hits so that is good. Primal Mutation you can start chainging with deathly spike. Mod deathly spike for more row of spike.
