chattius 2,526
When playing the Waffenmeisterin (guide section) we noticed that if equipped with the right shrunken head viperish disease might be faster than using x% lifeleech allone. Viperish_Disease would not be modified for mass disease, but rather for boss fights: Gangrene, Headhunter, Gouge. Disease is at ultra high combat art levels at the Waffenmeisterin and she uses doublekicks with regeneration per hit for recharging. So one of the unsolved questions is: do disease effects stack? Only 3-4 combinations with disease/ravaged impact is not what I would call slow fighting Gar'Colossus niobium in CM-Patch with a weaponless dryad. So how would a voodoo boss hunter look like: Detheya's_Agility: x% life leech, because there are enemies with no fitting shrunken head or which are immune to disease Stalworth_Safeguard: no shield lore so going for good resistances Hit chance, run speed and casting speed would have to be socketed. But there is not much need to socket damage/deathblow: disease, life leech, pet don't need it. We can get damage by aiming for ultra high Combat Arts and recharge them with reg per hit. Every stat point into vitality. spell resistance, armor lore, constitution voodoo lore/focus, nature focus/lore, hunting focus, concentration, ancient magic 1 Link to comment
chattius 2,526
As soon I have some time I will hunt for the new shrunken heads in CM-patch. I guess nobody tried to optimize viperish disease for boss hunting yet? The level and difficulty of a shrunken head seems to affect totem damage even for the same head-type. So hunting for niob yellow heads might be a good idea. But doing this we run normally into a problem: on one side: we want a good drop chance by running several twisted torments so the drop chances stack on the other side: we want short fights because of the risc fighting bosses with a dryad. Dryads are probably the class which is weakest against spells. So one idea could be to use viperish disease and not twisted torment for head hunting. Another unsolved problem: will a fitting shrunken head boost the disease damage in a boss fight? I wonder if the Waffenmeisterin-Dryad could be made into a disease-boss-hunter by optimizing the equipment. Way too lazy to start a new character. EDIT: Look at the attached image at this post in german sacred2 forum and tell me that you are not going to download CM-patch and hunt for yellow dryad heads right away. http://forum.sacred2.de/showpost.php?p=990683&postcount=218 Edited May 3, 2011 by chattius Link to comment
essjayehm 58
EDIT: Look at the attached image at this post in german sacred2 forum and tell me that you are not going to download CM-patch and hunt for yellow dryad heads right away. http://forum.sacred2.de/showpost.php?p=990683&postcount=218 I clicked, I looked... I drooled... but I will not download CM patch and start looking for yellow dryad heads right away Something about not having Sacred 2 on my PC yet... Very cool, Chattius... I definitely would've gone headhunting by now if I had it. Who doesn't want a Blood Dryad in her birthday suit following you around? But, I did want to ask if you know if Viperish Diseases will stack on a boss like Twisted Torment does, to increase the chances of heads dropping. I am pretty sure only one instance of VD will stick on an enemy on the console... Link to comment
chattius 2,526
Viperish disease seems to need a fitting shrunken head to have a higher chance that the target gets infected. Equipped with a fitting shrunken head bosses drop before I can do a second disease. Guess I will read some more runes into disease to drop its cooldown, would need one reg per hit ring more if doing so. Sadly I fail to do videos, is there a good guide how to do videos: best program, what graphic details can I switch off, ... I tried fraps but I got like 2 frames a second ... And we know that a second is enough to do at least 4 hits with a kungfu... Link to comment
