I need help to build a pure caster Dragon Mage

Hello everyone this is my first post here so please forgive me if I'm posting at the wrong place.

 

So I am trying to play a Dragon Mage but I want to build a pure caster mage or High Elf are better for what I'm looking for?

 

Anyways, I was wondering if there is anyone that can help me with this request , also I would like to mention that this is my first character in Sacred 2.

Welcome to DarkMatters. I can help...... what are you looking for? A pure caster Dragon mage is really exactly what he is built for. I have a level 142 Dragon mage on the HC Closed-Net servers. There are many ways you can build him.

 

I found a hybrid dual aspect is the best. Dragon Magic focus and Lore for the buff and Dragon Strike. Constitution, Armor Lore, Toughness, Concentration, Combat Discipline, Spell Resistance. These are the Skills that I deem the most worthy. And have gotten me to level 142 and I have always pushed the boundaries of safety when I play.

 

Then the choice of Elemental Magic or Mentalist is where you need to choose. I have done both. My Draaken is a Mentalist but I still use unmodified Elemental Combat Arts.

Thanks for the fast reply and to be honest I am very very new to Sacred 2 never played the first one so I'm a total n00b , however I'm not new to the RPG/dungeon crawler games.

 

Now for your question, I just wanna build a glass cannon as I'm use to play one on MMOS and RPGs but like I say I don't really understand all this armor lore, weapon lore stuff( sorry for been such of n00b) but I just wanna build the right toon so if you can guide me or point me to the right direction I would really appreciate a ton and I'll make sure to keep posting for more questions :x.

Well for starters read through ALL of THIS! That should get your appetite going. Remember that its OK to start a "toon" 5-6 times. Get started and as you play through you can and will make mistakes / learn what might be a better idea. Ask specific questions, and enjoy the experience of the play!

 

Are you playing on SP or in HC Closed net servers? If in HC Closed-Net I could meet up with you to talk you though some of this. I am available most all day.... after I get some sleep that is...
