Cloud007 0
Hey guys so Im new to Sacred 2 Figured I'd take the suggested advise of making a shopper network to start out the game. Later on when I play "for real", I plan to try out many seraphim builds - seems like a fun class! So I figure my shopper network should all be seraphim's as shop item selection is biased towards the characters class thats shopping. I was jus curious which build you'd suggest following. Ideally, I'd like it to be playable through Niob to ~140. The two Im contemplating are: 1) The January Sales Seraphim, Part shopper, part treasure hunter, all mass-murdering goddess and 2) The queen of blades, dual sword seraphim: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:The_Queen_of_Blades%2C_Dual_Sword_Shopper_sera I'm curious if either, or both, builds will be viable in Niob. In the first one, I like that it begins with EP & Bargaining right away- though Im curious about the authors style of waiting for X level before dumping skillpoints (ie: dont touch skills till you're level 6). With the two empty slots at the bottom, I figure I can put one of the to use with Blacksmithing (this way I wont need a separate blacksmith). The second build seems very solid. Not sure if moving EP & Bargaining to be sooner would significantly hurt the build or not; also unsure if and which skill I could substitute out for Blacksmithing should I wish to do that; perhaps combat reflexes. Only other thing Im slightly worried about is that in a recent post I read, the poster stated that Swords & Dual Wielding has a very negligible effect past character level 75 and that one shouldn't consider these two skills unless theyre not planning on going past Gold difficulty. Anyone have any input on this? Both skills make use of Swords & DW... EDIT: As a side note. I am currently playing on the PS3. Edited July 31, 2011 by Cloud007 Link to comment
Stormwing 40
Welcome aboard, Cloud! Can't really speak from the personal experience, as I've ran The January Shopper only to Plat, but I noticed some struggling in the swamps. May just be the lack of optimisation or something, but I guess it's more than viable on Niob too. As for Blacksmithing, that's not aviable for seraphim. Only Temple Guardian, Shadow Warrior and Inquisitor have access to it. And as a whole, the Blacksmithing is said to be busted on consoles... Personally, I'm wouldn't wholly recommend both DW and Swords. Only if you want some gimmicy, should both be picked. Swords do unlock few mods on swords, but later on you would need it on Mastery. Might not be worth it. (Just a personal input) My setup as lv.91 is EP Mastered Barg Mastered (On level) Tactics around 15 Dual Wield 1 pt only Exalted Focus Around 80 Armor 27 Constitution Mastered Spell Resistance 1 Combat Discipline 10 Toughness 1 I know they might be a bit lacking, made some own derivation from the build, but so far I haven't had really serious whooping. As for consoles, someone with more insight for them should speak up. Link to comment
lujate 576
I started a January Sales Seraphim shortly before I abandoned ps3 for Ice and Blood. My best guess about why the author wants you to wait before taking any skills is to keep you from spending your points wrong. I only made it to about 25, so I cannot comment on the higher difficulties. Stormwing is right about Blacksmithing. The skill exists but was never implemented, which makes it a wasted skill. I am not sure about what you mean regarding DW & SW. Are you talking about taking them together? The objection to that is that the skill bonuses do not stack, meaning you only get one of the bonuses. As with everything, there is another viewpoint: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Twin_Boneslicers FYI, the console versions correspond to an early PC Fallen Angel build. Anything talking about Ice and Blood does not apply. Link to comment
