Monster 0
Hey guys, I'm new to DarkMatters. Signed up to get some input on the build I've started to work on. I've only beat the campaign once on silver with a Shadow Warrior. I'm a little into my Seraphim build now and loving the play style. I'll likely only take this one character all the way through Niob so I'm looking for input to see if I'd have a chance. I've done a little research and so far at level 24 I'm doing really well. Without further ado here is my build. ---------------------------- SERAPHIM: Weapon: Pole arm - Chosen for its strength, +attack speed, +hit additional opponents. CA Classes- Exalted Warrior - Revered Technology Skills: Tactics Lore Exalted Warrior Focus Armour Lore Pole Arms Rev Tech Focus Rev Tech Lore (plan to make my first 75 Mastery) Concentration (2 buffs - Battle Stance + Warding Energy) Warding Energy Lore (2nd Mastery?) Constitution Enhanced Perception (one character play through will rely on finding items) Attributes: **80% on Strength** **20% on Vitality** (Already got to level 42 and used Vitality till now) (From level 50 on I will put my attribute points into strength) My Strategy is this: -Battle Stance always on (Premonition-Drill-Retaliation) -Warding Energy always on (Field Force-**Magic Mirror**-Block) -Dashing Alacrity for large mobs and bosses -Divine Protection for "oh $#!T" shields failing -Flaring Nova will be First attack Always - then secondary Spam (Impulse-Stun-Flux) + Mastery Rev Tech Lore = High damage + stun -Pelting strikes will be Spam (Succession-Focus-Precision) (Pole arms are 5 hits) -Archangel's Wrath will replace Flaring Nova vs. solo bosses Is Soul Hammer any good? I hear Pelting Strikes is better as your skills level up, and your weapons have more %chance, because of volume of attacks Also heard flak about Warding Energy shields but stat-wise they seem decent. My view is that this build is balanced but some more play experience may prove otherwise. Any feedback is helpful. lujate 572
My 2 cents... Polearms also offer LL%. If I am taking two buffs, I like to take Concentration at level 3 so I have them ASAP. I play HC, so all of my Attribute points go towards survivability (Vitality for HP and/or Willpower for shields points & base spell resistance). I put off the gold mod for Battle Stance since it so weak. I mod all my other Ex War CAs first. Pelting Strikes has been my go-to CA for every melee Seraphim I have played. With 1s RpH and a 5s regen, I can hit it continuously (at least til the enemies run out ). For Warding Energy, I would go Magic Mirror rather than Field Force for the silver mod. (all based on Ice and Blood). Edited September 10, 2011 by lujate Link to comment
Monster 0
Ok, I get what you mean about survivability. Losing the survival bonus would definately suck, I'm revising my attributes point usage to -> 10% Strength, 10% Intelligence, and 80% Vitality. Also checked out Wardng Energy's mods. I agree that the 2nd force field should be changed for the magic mirror. lookin forward to more comments Link to comment

Your build looks solid, just dont rush through the difficulty settings and you should have no problems with taking needless deaths. Link to comment
