List of quests by region?

Aren't they kind of though in the Wiki?

All the quests in the Wiki have been put into chapters, and the chapters progress region by region more and more difficult from chapter one to chapter 10

For example, if you look up main campaign quests in Wiki you get this page here:

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Main_Campaign_Quests

Chapters one to ten all progress geographically as well. First region Tyr Lysia, last region Wastelands.

Same thing for side quests.

I actually remember asking Schot about if the quests could/should be arranged geographically by region and he said they already where by way of chapter.

Is there another way for us to arrange the quests then? This would not be hard to do, all the documented quests are already in the wiki with their location already formed as links on their pages

We can do this then, could give me a nice project to work on this weekend.

I could just copy /paste all the separated listings into a single page with ten regions.

But I know he's purposely broken up the quests that are in this game because with all their variations, there could be about a thousand links to quests on a single page.

I'll ask Schot what kind of lag that's going to make.

That will definitely help with the lag. That page would then consist of only ten links, with each one going to a "regional" page with all that region's quests in it?

Does that work/flow?

Interesting topic...

I thought about this, we could do a location of the quests, like villages, towns etc. However, there might not be enough information and that might make it look and feel empty. For example, an orc settlement has 1 quest while another has over 20. The only way I could suggest about sorting out the quests is by the difficulty system, stars. This might help new or experienced players to locate the quests that they missed or need more information on. Since the list has information currently not added yet, we would need an unrated section until we complete all the information needed to sort it out. This would be all on one page, like each chapter would split the difficulty into sections on the list.

That will definitely help with the lag. That page would then consist of only ten links, with each one going to a "regional" page with all that region's quests in it?

Does that work/flow?

Yes, it would. But I don't know if extra information would be needed. Like 'Chapter 1 - High Elf' as a link name or just the link name being the chapter number while the information is below? Like 'Chapter one consists of the High Elfs blah, blah, blah!' :P But, it depends if you feel that there should be more information on the page, as splitting it up might reduce the information too much and look unprofessional?

I think there should be another version of the Sacred 2 Wiki map that has all the side quests on it. Each question mark would then lead to that quest's page. This would completely eliminate the need to have pages with links to the quests, and would also completely remove the ambiguity of where a quest is located as well.
