Cartographer 0
[edit] Just looked at the gold edition /foreheadslap next paycheck or so I will pick that up with digital download, that will let me get online! [/edit] Hi everyone, that still reads this forum :-) I have Sacred 2, 2.43, no expansion, no patches, I am a sad panda. All single player so far, my shrink-wrapped, store bought Sacred 2 was already activated on-line. quick derail: is it possible to buy the EU version and expansion and install them in the US? I know we did this with Sacred 1 ... So, after playing a SW through ~55 and finishing Silver campaign, it is time for switch. I have been doing quite a bit of reading about Dryads and EP and shopping. Chrona's Shopper I wonder how gear dependent this build is? I have no stash of set or unique items yet, well not many. My idea is to build shoppers as I go. use HE Level 2 to set-up, level to 15, shop my butt off, rinse, repeat at each 15 levels as necessary. In the end I will have a shopping network of bargainers at 15 level increments with shopping suits, and a set of Dryad gear for experience at each 15 levels too. ( using text file edit to gain access to niobium on a LAN game for shopping purposes ) Do you think a shopper every 15 levels is too much overkill? I know my SW made it to 50's still wearing some of the level 2 pieces I shopped and socketed for him, along with unique weapons I found along the way ( knew I shouldn't take sword lore in a DW build dang it!) At the same time, I want to play the main character, the same Dryad build with maxed EP, and no bargaining. What should I replace that skill with, I was thinking nature weaver lore, but for all my reading, I have only played Dryad to 15 so far, and with a +105% experience / poisen damage suit, following the main 2 quests, I only made it to the wall before it was time to turn around and head back to town. So if your answer is shut up and go play, you noob, I will understand, as nothing beats picking skills and ripping your hair out when you picked the wrong one and start over for gaining experience. Anyway, Have a nice weekend! Time to go shop some level 15 gears. Edited October 22, 2011 by Cartographer Link to comment

Anyway, Have a nice weekend! Time to go shop some level 15 gears. EU Ice and Blood + US S2FA is possible, difficult, but possible. Involves registry editing and the like. As to the build, it shouldn;t be gear dependent. It may be a little slow initially if you don't have any money to get to her, but with EP she will find heaps of stuff to keep and to sell for more cash. Bargaining will provide all the goodies you need to socket into what you do find. But, every 15 levels can be tedious to do. Good level 2 gear can get you fairly high like you've already noted, up to you on how often you feel you would need to shop new gear. Perhaps build a level 2 shopper, buy stuff for another toon and then run it until you feel like you need gear (maybe 25-30 or something), then park it as a shopper at that level and repeat. Now, what to replace EP with? Well, depends what you want to do. If you want to add in the moribund buff then cabalistic voodoo focus would be good for extra levels in the ca. Nature Weaver lore would be good with ancient bark/goldenglade touch to really pump the defense. If you decide to make it a bosskiller then spell resistance would be useful, especially against the guardians. All in all though thats a pretty strongly built toon so it depends on your choice of playstyle then. Enjoy playing though! Link to comment
Cartographer 0
Thanks for the reply! I have been doing a bit of reading on the voodoo heads as well, I'll have to learn the boss runs as well. I need a new code to get into online games, so I think purchasing gold version online might be the best route. I think I will get the SW to the Orc cave in Gold and farm there, should, if I read right, get me some cash and drops. Edited October 22, 2011 by Cartographer Link to comment
Cartographer 0
Well, good thing I am not playing hardcore mode Spitz A'lot made it to Octogolomus in Silver at level 31 with level 2 experience/damage/poison gear after her brief dirt nap, she decided it was time to upgrade! I could go grind and do quests, but I think upgrade is he better option. Spitz A'rgh is born to be my level 30 shopper, back to work! Link to comment
gogoblender 3,070
Welcome to Darkmatters, David! You've been given some great build advice, Dryad's been my favorite class to play, there just was never getting over the fun of an instant CA hit. Have with us, great you're hooked! gogo Link to comment
lujate 578
I bought Sacred 2 Gold, so I never tried to add Ice and Blood to the US version, but here is a link about doing it. Good luck! http://forum.sacred2.com/showthread.php?t=67312 Link to comment
Cartographer 0
In the end, I enjoy shopping, but it is a pain in the butt! This is only my view at 30 though. my shopping suit was up to 132 before I found boots I could live with, ok bonuses, 1 silver socket, I was just shopping multiplayer island, and running to the merchent in the starting town in niobium. Anyone notice that at certain levels, there are certain items that are harder to get? I never did find a +experience greaves with a slot, found two with +5 all, and one gold slot though, one with defensive mods, one with offensive mods. And boots, meh, they were out to lunch. I took the level 2 suit out for a spin, then switched, what a difference! Including the fact that my blowpipe didn't work ... I had socketed a wonder 50% poison staff with +40% death blow, with two 10-10 damage/25.4% deathblow rings /facepalm Link to comment
Cartographer 0
http://darkmatters.o...epmfbargaining/ Does anyone remember how this was obtained? Did someone crawl through the game files? If someone could point me in the right direction I would look into updating it for 2.43, and the expansion when I get it. Unless it was already done, then I wouldn't mind a pointer in that direction either Link to comment
Cartographer 0
Well, I am headed for the jungle, going to go to gold now ( in level 30 gear still, shopped a new blow gun at 65 ) I am level at 67 with a level 75 dragon animus ( gold head from level 51 boss dragon) I put 31 in each focus. EP and tactics to level .... but .... How good does the animus scale? I haven't been using it as at the moment it just follows me around as everything is usually dead before I get within looting range. I am thinking about taking bargaining as skill 8, max it around 85, park this gal as a shopper and trying something besides cab focus next Dryad I read somewhere that you should keep the animus at 2x your level? I guess that could make a really good speed bump if you are running 3 buffs. No luck getting a head from Gigantopod this time. I need to practice. Link to comment

I've never made a dryad using the animus buff, but from what Ive seen, a gold head and 2x your level it should be kicking butt! Link to comment
