The new Sacred 2 CM patch - Now available for Ice & Blood

I myself have done the seraphine class quest using the CM patch , in fact there are more fixed and available quests with it running than not running.

 

The wiki is an amazing resource if the time is spent reading through it or go looking for the quest your trying to do from with in it.

is there anyway to get unique fist weapons to this patch or something?

 

Sorry, there are no unique fistweapons, but there is a random epic one.

 

 

hmph... it would have been really cool if you guys (or one guy I really don't know how many people is making this patch) could make unique fist weapons but oh well I ques I have manage with things I got already

Found something else yesterday:

When playing with the DM, I tried a fist weapon (talons, but I have seen at least 2 different fist weapons with the same name, maybe random?) that covered the wrist. At least, I thought this was the case, but the part that should have covered the wrist was floating in front of it. The part connected to the hand was in place, and it followed the animations, but it looked connected to the hand with an angle.

 

Also, I can confirm the new quest has no text in the English version, but you know this already off course.

 

That's it for now, if I find anything else, I'll post it.

Yes, I know what you mean. It is just this one type of fistweapon with this angle issue. With all other toons, this angle is only visible when the character is standing still, reason being characters holding their hands angled to the back at the wrist (e.g. Seraphim). The part of the fistweapon surrounding the wrist and arm is too long, and thus "cuts" through the arm. I tried changing the model to a shorter one (with 3DsMax) but there is so much additional info in the file that gets lost (material, animation info, texture paths), that without a Sacred 2 customized version of the granny 3d tools there is no chance to tweak animations or models in a point-to-pont or mesh editing environment.

 

Only solution would be to remove this kind of fistweapon entirely, but then again it works to 90% with the other toons and this looks again like some DM development sloppyness during the dark ages near ascarons demise. (Seriously, the DM is a halfbaked toon if I ever did see one...)

I dont know how and why but after the download something happened to my sacred game now I dont see cursor and there now is just big X when I was trying to remove there was 2 missing fils 1 is : graphics10 and there was one more ( sorry dont remember name )

I have no sacred instalation disc so I cant reinstall if someone can please upload file : graphics10

ps I have addon Ice and blood + hight texture .

Please have a look into the file "Sacred 2 Fallen Angel 2.65.x Patch Log.txt" in your sacred 2 directory. That's the protocol of the patch engine. Most likely there was a problem with the access to the file or with your temp directory.

I know there was 2 missing files when tryed to patch and got possibilty to skip them ...

Thanks for this awesome patch, the game just feels fresh again.

 

Last night I was playing with a seraphim near the Clearview Ruins, there I accepted a quest The Wolf Problem, when I spoke with the Herder Gildor the wolfs spawned but I wasn't able to kill them with left click's or using melee combat arts I was able to kill them with Archangel's Wrath, it worked well. But after some play time I was in the area of Clearview killing some skellies when I noticed some packs standing without moving I approached them and they wouldn't engage me and I couldn't hit them also unless again with AW's it's really weird because I started noticing that those packs of mobs weren't showing on the minimap like normal red triangles. Is this normal ?

If there had been two files missing before you used the cm patch then of course they've been missing afterwards...

No, this isn't normal. In such cases please save your game, zip the hero-files and post them here or even better directly in our bugtracker at http://www.frankrentmeister.info/mantisbt with a short description. This way we can check if this error is patch-related, general sacred2-related or an one-time-error.

Just ended my play session and today nothing happened I don't know if I can reproduce it again though I've uploaded my save file to your site Marcus, thanks for the quick response.

all was working before I downloaded patch when I was was patching first time it stopped working then I tried again and then said 2 files missing

The log file says, you are missing graphics10.zip and persector.zip from your pak folder.

 

Before I upload any files for you: Can you explain why you don't have original game Discs?

How did you get your copy of Sacred 2 originally installed and activated?

I gave disc to my friend and he will be back with it only after 2 weeks

I have only hight textures disc ( because he dont need it ) I know that in disc was folders and there was that files too but they are not on hight textures disc

So you will need the patched (!) version of these two files. But for the records: Lending the discs to a friend is not covered within the license agreement. Make-your-friend-a-copy means: You can copy the discs and give the copies to friends as long as they purchase their own activation keys.

Yes I know :faerie: but I think he will have problems with activation because it have been activated already . Or he can activate ?

Never use the repair function on the patched game. It will destroy what's left. Forget about this.

Uh oh... Looks like there's something wrong with Gar'Colossus. Seeing that it's killed my game twice in a row. Even after complete restart. Wasn't he inactive earier so that he started to move, when one was near him? For me he just rushed forward, walked up to the green teleport and started to make one of his attacks. Hitting his hand together and releasing something like a stone version of a railgun. Or something like that? That boom, crash to desktop. Playing Dryad currently in SP campaing.

If memory servers, I pounded him down with my HE in current version of CM, and no crashes.

Strange. I can mend his moving around and have him activate once the hero nears. (I changed his behaviour a bit to get the most out of his CAs.)

 

What CAs/Buff did you have active when the crash happened with your dryad? Maybe there is some connection, but it could also be the problem of him leaving his place at the ground and rampaging on the wooden paths on higher ground. I think some of his CAs are scripted just to be used at the bottom of the pit (like his avalanche attack). Maybe it crashed because of that.

Was little suprised as he never tried to get off the pit earlier. :P

 

And I was using magic staff build with Ancient Bark and Sinister Predator up and running. At first I could swing few RAvaged Impacts at him, but once he starts charging that stone thingy game crashes. And both times he was on the wooden stairs, not the bottom, so it might be cause of what you said.

The crash happened also with my second DW Druid. Well, she had same buffs on. AB and SP. Also, tried it on freeplay with my DW seraphim. Running with BS and WE. Nearly gor him before the portal and first attack, but wasn't fast enough to kill him...

Seems like my installation is corrupted in worst case some way. Seeing Grumpy didn't have probs with his TG.

tI'll try resetting CM-patch tomorrow to see if that helps....

I have been playing around with the different classes since downloading this, but still not past Sloeford because I'm experimenting with all of em.

 

I did notice an immediate improvement in how the game runs after downloading. It is much smoother.

 

When I pick up the blacksmith tutorial quest, there is an elf that appears to be walking in mid air inside the inn. I suspect it is an issue with my graphics card.

 

I did encounter one problem that I have been unable to re-create since it happened. Somehow, I managed to have two copies of the game open. I saved and closed one, then the other one showed up, so I saved and closed that out. When I opened the game again, the first character was gone from my list of games. If I do manage to recreate this problem I will report it on your bug report site.
