^ This is a selfie with a remote statue of Forens. It is important to mention that this cannot be seen unless one does a bit of "island hopping."

 

So much detail was put into making this island. Probably an hour of work with the map editor. And no one to see it by playing the game fare and square.

^ It is there Sir Gogo, but it is "extra-game," one has to map-jump to find/see it. A toon cannot simply travel there merely mounted or on foot. There are indeed, some very unexpected and enthralling visual treats in store for they who wish to stray from the following of quests and trek off the map for a time, instead.

 

 

^ After a few short hops through the dense jungle south of Ceria Delith, having found no hidden arenas with bloodthirsty bosses, I decided to cut back and to the right toward the coast.

 

 

^ "Does this mean that the world is flat and it ends here, or is this the boundary to yet another world, a different plane, or even some subsequent dimension or alternate reality?"

 

 

^ Here is an area where it appears there was a bit of fun had during game development and a degree of experimenting with textures of snow on stone paving. I would challenge they who are interested to visit this area and see more with your own eyes.

 

 

^ This is my final way-point before heading to Na'Fian.

 

 

^ From my antecedent way-point, I "jumped" along the coastline where large terrapins were evenly spaced along the way, just as immobile as was I, but for the ability to Shadow Step my way bit by bit. I continued the process across the sandy ocean floor until I reached the shore.

^ Actually, my friend I was searching for them and not having discovered their location, I continued with my journey. I'm playing in hardcore, but I am not concerned for the welfare of my High Elf, Minualwen, she can look out for herself, she is in fact a particularly formidable ice mage.

the jungle was sometimes a little bit harder and a longer fight but the champion turtles at dryad island were much more frightening!

The CM Patch removed the "extra" bosses in the jungle area

After my hop over to Dyr Laigh, I decided to pay a quick visit to the Forest Guardian. This irascible ent was dispatched by my high elf in a matter of some few moments.

 

 

 

 

 

This "map jumping" technique is quite a bit more of an interesting diversion than I had originally anticipated.

I map-jumped into this pond of water at the home of Assim, the alchemist. Note that there is a submerged statue of Forens within these waters which is fed, incidentally, by a lovely waterfall that is not visible unless one "jumps" over to investigate it.

Epic Battle with the Carnach

This appears to be a piece of Polenesian statuary, perhaps a Tiki god of some sort. It also bears some resemblance to the totems fashioned long ago by the indiginous humans of the northwest American plains and Alaska. This is indeed perplexing, I wonder how I know that...."

Speaking of the totems of the native human dwellers of the plains of the Northwestern region of the Americas, the resemblance of these wooden artifacts to such "totem poles" is indeed uncanny. Once again, I am confounded by the chance that I would be so well informed about an obscure fact of this sort.

This is the fully articulated skeleton of a lizardman. I wonder what he was doing in this frigid environment, for not being endothermic, his chances of surviving here were indeed minimal at best.

poor skellie...at least he was well preserved... perhaps he was sent on a vision quest by his tribe from a far away land!

During my underwater map-jumping journey to the small uncharted island located in Bluestone lake, following the lead of the great explorer SX255, I too encountered the Queen (Archon Dyria D'Arquelyght) and Hypnotoad. Once again, the whole experience had an eerie surreal feel to it.

This is a spectacular view, my High Elf Minuialwen perched atop Libi's Pratfall.

Here is a point at which the falls of Libi's Pratfall converge, a sight totally lost to they who do not map-jump. Perhaps if good Sir Flix would outfit us all with winged mounts we could all be witness to such wonders. Please make mine a felicitous fabled fearless flying frost unicorn.
