As the best secondary damager is one not many of you are going to expect.High Elven Region:High Elven Bandits or pirates:1) Fire2) Magic3) PoisonAnimals:1) Poison2) Magic3) IceKobolds:1)Poison2) FireUndead:1) Poison2) Ice3) Magic4) IceBest secondary damage types: Ice or Magic.Human Lands:Humans (Bandits, assassins, knights)1) Fire2) Magic3) PoisonAnimals (including all rodents and spiders):1) Poison2) Ice3) MagicWerewolves:1) FireBest secondary damage type: IceOrc RegionOrc's, Trolls, Goblin's, Ogre's:1) Ice2) MagicAnimals:1) Poison2) Ice3) MagicBest secondary damage type: FireSeraphim Island:Stone monsters:1) Magic2) FireIce elemental:1) Ice2) MagicBest secondary damage type: PoisonCarnach cave:Dragons: FireCultists: FireBest secondary damage type: Ice or PoisonSwamp Region:Olm's:1) MagicAnimals:1) Poison2) MagicWerewolves:1) FireUndead:1) Poison2) Ice3) MagicBest secondary damage type: Fire / IceDesert:Humans:1) Fire2) MagicAnimals:1) Poison2) Fire3) MagicBest secondary damage type: IceJungle Region:Garema:1) Poison2) MagicSpiders:1) PoisonDemons:1) Magic2) FireBest secondary damage type: Ice or FireDryad Island:Animals:1) Poison2) MagicPlants:1) Poison2) Fire3) MagicHumans1) FireFen-fire's (aka Will o' Wisps):1) Magic2) IceBest secondary damage type: Fire / IceWastelands:Temple Guardians:1) Magic2) PoisonDemons:1) Magic2) Fire3) Poison4) IceSkellies:1) Fire2) MagicBest secondary damage type: Ice.(former) X-mass island:When the x-mass content is up:1) Ice2) Magic3) PoisonBest secondary damage type: FireRest of the year:1) Fire2) Magic3) PoisonBest secondary damage type: IceAll regions:T-Energy creatures:1) Magic2) PoisonBosses:Most mini-bosses have resistances simular to the ones their much smaller look alikes are having too. However, the bosses have a far higher resistance, do more damage and several of them are able to disable buff's or block Combat Arts. What is surprising is that with the exception of the Gar'Colossus all Campaign bosses can be killed when using Ice-enhanced weapons. The G'C is killable with all weapons, but is having a bad resistance vs poison. In general this means that some builds using Ice as main additional damage type will have a far more easier game as those based upon other damage types.Thorin 4 Link to comment
Flix 5,116
This is so excellent to have! I was thinking about doing this very thing as I was beginning work on bestiaries for the Regions pages. Lo and behold, Thorin already did this outstanding work! 1 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,068
I was hoping this could good for everyone! When we were talking before about set ups for the regions page, I remember resistances being a defining factor, which can lead to diverse build structures, as well as the drops from certain types of monsters in specific regions. Trophies, for example, are a big part of a left click build with no CA use (yes, is possible, there's a knight build somewhere will have to look it up), the one skill, alchemy, can emulate almost any item modifier in the game, making a left click/no ca build, potentially as possible as a right click build... not as fun, of course, but still viable. With the need for trophies, specific needs become identifiable, such as crit trophies, which I always ran out of, but which players here from DarkMatters, while finding them on their travels and having no use for them, would often give them to me for me to hoard. As well, other drops, I think jewelry, for isntance, has a higher chance of dropping from Ghosts, and there is an area that is infested with them? gogo Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
Interesting that ice is the least resisted. I never really looked at these sort of things and typically went with fire for the DOT. Always about the extra damage!! Link to comment
Thorin Oakshield 260
Gogo, the area with the ghost dropping a lot of bling-bling is called Whisperwood. It can be found to the east of Altamark's Gate, however, there are only some resurrection stones nearby. Thorin 1 Link to comment
Delta! 985
I always like having ice damage, because it slows the opponents. If I have a dual wield character, then I will have poison/fire/magic on the other weapon, for the DOT or the weakening. But I have also never looked at what kind of damage is the most effective. Aegis 256
Thank you for writing this up, Thorin, and thank you for posting this here, gogo. I don't spend enough time in Whisperwood it seems. Link to comment

claudius 104
This is what evens out balance with ice. Ice status effect is reduced movement which is horrbile when compared to DOT (damage over time) of fire/poison and the debilitating of weakening from magic. 1 Link to comment
