Pre-Searing Ascalon

Pre-Searing is where you'll begin a new character. It is important to understand that Pre-Searing is a sort of nursery phase of the game where you learn about general gameplay functionality. Pre-Searing is a relatively short chapter of the game and has a completely different map from the map that players are on who have completed Pre-Searing otherwise known as The Searing. The Searing is an event that occurs in the game.

 

Now here's the important part. Players can ONLY play co-operatively when they are both in Pre-Searing or both have completed Pre-Searing. Crunchie and I just learned that the hard way, lol.

 

Here is a little guide on Pre-Searing for those of you who have recently started playing GuildWars. Some useful info in this article that will elaborate on Pre-Searing from the guru site:
