Sacred Underworld - Wood Elf Huntress build

Recommended Posts

First off let me say hi, I'm new here. I've been checking and looking for info on sacred underworld on this site for awhile now, and this community is pretty creative and awesome. My wood elf build is a bit different from others I have found so I figured I would post it.

To start things off first let me say she is an archer, using strictly a bow and only a few skills.

Agility---50 points, higher if u feel needed for more defense
Weapon lore---max
Concentration---max
Trading---max
Ranged combat---I put 20 points here tho you really only need 10 as a base
Armor---I put only 30 points here u can put more if needed
Constitution---put as many points as you feel is needed, I only have 10 actual points here the rest is just boosted up
The rest is up to you

She uses 3 skills, multi hit, multiple arrow, and penetrating arrow

Starting off she is kind of slow on the killing power but after you hit 15-20 she really picks up in killing speed, for the first hours of this elf's life she spent it sitting on the ledge where you start, using the three wolves to increase her survival bonus. Starting the game with max survival bonus is retardedly fun, rares, sets, runes, and uniques drop like crazy, fueling this elf's trading machine even more.

From lvls 1-12 I spent grinding the goblin lawn in between silver creek and porto vallun. Unlock the second merchant there and begin the trading, key things to look for

+to all skills
Max item slots
RSM items
Life leech

This will significantly boost your power early on, and have you pumping out retarded amounts of damage.

Read 18 runes for multiple shot to get the max arrow count and that's it

Keep multi hit regen time down to 1 sec or as close as possible this is your main attack

All extra runes pump into penetrating arrow, don't worry about regen time cuz this skill will be placed into a 4x combo for killing anything big, ie, dragons.

General gameplay-----
Run around with mutiple shot buff on and spam multi hit at anything you see, this dishes out a ridiculous amount of arrows, fanning out in a huge arc big enough to cover the screen. When u come across something you can't kill in one or two volleys of this massive onslaught use penetrating arrow combo.

My wood elf is level 60 now and already done with gold difficulty bout to go to platinum soon, defense isn't much of an issue cuz almost everything is dead before it gets into melee range and even with the mere 10% life leech I have currently, my health never drops below 75%. She really is a beast of a charcter. Word of caution tho, I play single player sacred underworld, trying to play this build in multi player will result in two things, pissin everyone off because they don't get a chance to kill anything, and penetrating arrow will create massive lag. But I can tell you right now nothing is funnier than walkin up to any dragon, (I've killed all 9) firing one combo skill, and walking away lol. Any questions, comments, or any insights to issues I may have as I progress is appreciated

Sweet!!! - very similar to my favorite crossbow barbarian build. Makes me want to reinstall S1 and try a wood elf (I was pretty bad about only playing barbarians until dwarves were added, and then I mainly did those for the uber trading).

Dang, u know, I never really played WE...and now, with all game, I'm just fascinated by ranged builds.

James, thanks for posting your build, and welcome to DarkMatters, craziest and most awesome Sacred site in the world!

Unfortunately no, I don't have any kind of program to record gameplay on my computer. Earlier today I switched my wood elf from ranged to melee just to try it, I gave her a two handed sword and ran around collecting as many orcs as possible, then I utterly demolished them with multi hit, is was funny. Never thought of making a melee wood elf until after doin that, and I must say her attack and multi hit animations with melee weapons is so pretty and fluid, almost like she is dancing. So now I'm tryin to think of a way to make a pure melee wood elf, maybe using QaaF as a speed booster but other than that no other spells. I'm gonna build it taking advantage of her early trading skill selection and her massive amounts of defense she can get from armor agility and parrying. Just trying to figure out how to deal with dragons right now. My character may specialize here and there between damage types and what not, but none of my charcters have any problem killing any type of enemy, dragons, demons, undead, whatever. And I prefer to keep it that way, vs other builds that have hiccups here and there based on enemy type that is fought *cough cough GOW BM vs undead cough cough***

@masteff

My glad, I named thumper, was a jumping glad wielding a giant axe, had fun with him for awhile but by the time I got to level 50 I was sooooo tired of jumping to kill everything, albeit, it was funny to watch, but so tiring, so I took dual wielding at 50 pumped it up to get my speed and atk rating up and now I dual wield two thains axe of flames, probably the most godly fire damage axes I've seen so far, he just finished andiell's set yesterday, and that % as blood damage more than makes up for mainly doing fire damage, now the only skills he uses is heroic courage and attack, don't need to use anything else yet lol
