Popular Post chattius 2,526
I am not rich enough to hire Blind Guardian as a life band while playing Sacred2. But our 10 year old took her guitar and played Blind Guardians 'The Bards Song' while I installed and played Sacred2 a bit on the new computer. It is one of the slower pieces. 2 years my wife and our oldest watched them playing it life at the Wacken concert. Live at Wacken 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja6CkoBYDxo Older studio version (when Hansi still had long hair) It is one of the Blind Guardians ones you can sing at a campfire with just a guitar. 2 Link to comment
Flix 5,116
I love that song. One of the first few Blind Guardian songs I heard, and among the first I learned on the guitar. My friend knew the littie lead part that goes over it too. They did several re-recordings of that song, which I thought was completlely unneccessary but still nice to hear. I was reading reviews of their albums on Encyclopedia Metallum the other day, really I was just checking to see if they'd released anything new (they haven't), but I ended up reading all the reviews for At the Edge of Time to see if anyone mentioned Sacred 2. Pretty much every reviewer did, and loved the song Sacred Worlds (how could they not?). Oh how I envy those live near Wacken and are able to go to it. There's nothing comparable in the States.
