jwiz 68
Btw, I've been doing the Legendary Pirate Treasure quest in the hidden pirate cove on the Gold Coast lately and it has bugged me once again, that this quest doesn't drop a legendary item. Perhaps you could rework this quest to drop one, maybe be putting a mini boss fight there (preferably with a souped up giant rat guarding it). Link to comment

It's supposed to be the treasure itself that's Legendary. If it's going to be an item, it's gotta be a specific one. What should it be? Link to comment

Nevertheless, the 'Widow Maker' would seem appropriate for a pirate treasure chest, but that's for the SW only. So I'd suggest either '(Jolly) Roger's Raving Razor' or the 'Impenetrable Protector' for more general use. If they don't drop from another quest line already, that is. Well actually quest rewards just pop out of thin air whenever the quest is marked complete. So neither enemies nor chests actually drop the reward. They basically appear at the player's feet after the final quest stage, whether it's killing an enemy, talking to an NPC, or even just walking into a certain area. I'm not really sold on handing out a Legendary without defeating a serious boss or completing some really long chain. The Pirate Treasure is just walking through two short dungeon levels and opening a chest. I think I'll add some random rare drops of various kinds. Link to comment

Popular Post Flix 5,116
Since 2.0, I made sure all uniques were unique, because in vanilla there were plenty of uniques and legendaries that were clones of each other. That project didn't (fully) account for the uniques that were clones of rare items though. So to make uniques really, truly unique, I would need to either reduce the pool of rare designs, OR... add new models for uniques. Luckily dimitrius154 has done some work towards this so I can pursue the second option. These are the new designs will be in EE. I'm starting with shields. In vanilla almost all the unique shields also appear as magic or rare randoms. No more. * If there's any special objections to these being the designs I could always keep the original models and make the new models random rares instead. I think all of these fit better though. Most of have FX that makes them feel really special & "superior." Eternal Block - this thing has fine elements when you look close: skeletons dance around the centerpiece. Really has a feeling of "antiquity." Wall of Flames - Pics don't do this one justice. WIth the FX it really looks to be made of living flame. Glacial Defender - like the above, the new model seems to be made of shifting ice. Unyielding Wall Grunwald's Protection - the T-Energy effect flows in a circle, making the world serpent look like it's chasing its tail perpetually. The following join the lineup of rare shields. This is a very "High Elf" looking shield. This forcefield shield was made Silver Fox years ago for the CM Items Mod, I just never remembered to include it until now. 2 1 1 Link to comment

gogoblender 3,042
Very smart ideas for the shields...these were great consumption for me alongside my coffee before work this morning...the ouroboros manifestation is my favorite (well that and the forcefield shield.. always been a sucker for those in Sacred) ..brilliant tying -n a racing glow of the t-energy with it trying to get its tail! gogo 1 Link to comment

Popular Post Flix 5,116
2h Hafted Weapons in 3.0 The Shadow Warrior has a lot of unique weapons, but most in vanilla are clones of random rares, not to mention clones of one another (you can refresh your memory of the uniques and legendaries). Now they are all unique. Those that did not change from the 2.0 lineup have their models removed from the random rare pool instead, to keep them unique. Accordingly some new models got added to the rare lineup. Major props to dimitrius154 for the imports. I've reworked some of these textures; many are even more of a spectacle in his mod. Gladiator's Grimace - this one appropriately harkens back to Gladiator weapons from S1 Legend - this models strikes me as a kind of "elegance in brutality" which seems appropriate for an incredibly powerful Legendary with a simple, unassuming name. Widowmaker - this should be a very sinister design. It even whispers to you if you listen closely. Tervon's Might - I don't mind a little T-Energy sometimes. This is a "tech" hammer that looks much more invented than forged. Shugrok's Illusion - I very much like the idea of keeping the original crystalline look, and this new design has waves of energy flowing along the crystal. Charo's Gleaming Fist - formerly "Charo's Steel Blade" (not a good name for a hammer), now renamed and totally redesigned to fit in with the others of Charo's items (Sparkle and Brilliance). DragonSlayer - This one is by far my favorite of the new designs. Absolutely radiant with power, as only a weapon against Dragons could be. Tyranny of the Condemned - The Shadow Warrior's class quest reward. The Forbidden Punisher - This must be the most wicked, badass looking model I've ever seen. Michel's Forging Hammer - This Legendary maintains its "dwarven-forged" look, while also gaining some distinctiveness. Skullsplitter Random Rare Hammer Random Rare Axes 2 Link to comment
Roderick 53
Those weapons look epic! Besides the random red one... looks so rusty it might break while hitting. xD Don't worry about the Widowmaker... it definitly looks sinister. o_o I can't believe the level of details which Sacred 2 can bring up. The little skeletons on the shield are awesome. (I ♥ skeletons...) A little question... is the Lord of Thunder (Lighting), north in the swamp region, somehow buggy? Mostly I miss him since I go down straight south after porting there. But today I was strolling along in the vast world of Sacred 2 and found him. The Lord of Ice was no problem, due to 13k hp and 600 HP/sec reg its icy aura didn't do much. Lord of fire... well, the Carnach delivered more fire damage. But this Lord of Lightning did a 10k critical hit against my Shadow Warrior. I hammered space but a second crit came almost right afterwards. 13k hp, 1570 magic resistance, spellresistance 771 in the inventory menu and Level 82 (mastery) as skill. How the hell did this thing do such a massive damage output? Edited October 29, 2020 by Roderick 1 Link to comment

We've discussed it extensively in the D2F topics, insane damage and auto-heal just make him impossible at higher levels. But Flix always said from then that he had to nerf it in the following version, which is this. Then the balancing should be transposed to a new D2F version. It's his usual cycle. Link to comment

Popular Post Androdion 870
No worries. I've had my fair share of deaths against that Lord, so much so that when I changed my setup from D2F to EE and started playing Hardcore I never even approached him again! I just knew I'd have to start over again and again so until he's rebalanced I'm not coming anywhere near him. 2 Link to comment
