Class quests

Curious, Are any of the class quests linked in any way? In other words, do they all tell a side of a story from different perspectives? Or are they just all out to save the world (or destroy it) in their own unique ways?

I have only ever really played the SW class and I never really followed the quest text all that much, but recently I have played a few other classes. And it got me thinking. I guess I should complete their stories further than Gar Collosus (he really sux, has he been buffed in CM patch as I know he can be a pain but some of my guys can't even hurt him lol).

PS I wish the game would always show where the next quest is. on some classes the chain is broken and I have to wander around looking for the next part. seraphim for instance, and the SW seems to be the same now. Also doesn't help that the marker for the epic quest guys is exact shade of blue as the SW class quest marker.

Tybosso D'Eflci is a character that appears in the class quests for a few characters. The part he plays differs depending on character, but he's always a rich and powerful elf who's not to be trusted. Otherwise the stories don't intersect much.

Personally I think the class chain quests are the best quests in the game, because they flesh out your character. They actually tell an ongoing story that personally involves your character in a way that the main quest mostly fails to do. The main quest is primarily just "go to the next region/go kill the next boss" over and over again.

I actually increased the run speed of the Gar'Colossus in my game, so that he's fast like other enemies (just for a fun challenge). If you think he's bad now, you should see him when he can rush you.

The main quest is just a gate keeper, it allows you to go to another area (mostly) after the boss that stands in way.. though you can just walk around the wall Gar supposedly blocks, you still have to kill him to get to Dryad island. This game was never what you would call story driven, something that saddened some people but most of us saw its about character development, the story is just there to spice up the regions as we would get bored grinding in one region eventually. And its such a nice map to explore too, you can go almost evey where right from start (a trait shared by Sacred 1).

Playing a TG right now, just got the fun quest to escort that guy... guess I should have read his text boxes before blindly clicking accept. Shadow warrior gets a quest to kill him too. I think every class visits him at some stage.

Right, so really the main quest fails at even being a gatekeeper as well. I just wish they'd tried a little harder to make it compelling. Even if it was just brought up to the level of the Sacred 1 main quest.

Well, I'm a fan of the spice myself...the hotter the better. Story-driven RPG's are my favorites, it's just a testament to how fantastic they made treadmill character building in Sacred 2 that I'm stuck on it and keep playing it year after year. The character chain quests go a long way in adding some of that spicy story flavor to the game, if you're so inclined.

I think all but the Seraphim, Inquisitor, and Dragon Mage do.

I need to look on wiki for the steps of the shadow warrior quest, it stopped updating at the wall. As for seraphim quest, its been broken for a long time, need to look on wiki for it too.. vaguely remember last step being in a completely illogical place. It ends way before the last island, unlike the others.

I wish the class quests were voiced rather than having to read through walls of text. Some of them were actually decent to follow, though the dryad's dark path combined with the main quest makes me think she's bipolar more than any other character. And, yeah, the Seraphim's quest ends in the most underwhelming place. Really, a cave? In the elven territory? I also wish the quests beyond the undead dragon in the SW class had real boss fights, and not fodder pretending to be bosses, like the dark seraphim.

I am trying to work out where the High Elf quest is Chapter 2, I got some attack quest near the human capital (I should try to remember names of cities again) but I haven't found the next part and I am in the Orc territories. When I first hit the Human lands, the woman I was escorting left and the game seemed to indicate the next part would be near the wall, but after wandering around the normal wall entrances, I didn't find it again. I expect there should be something to get it onto the seraphim island.

I would look on the wiki but the quest info for class quests seems to be lacking a few quests I have already done.

I have played almost every class in a week and HE was first to take down Gar'Collossus (apart from my SW who wandered up to him, hit him a few times, and left wondering what the fuss was all about - but then I have played SW almost full time the entire time I played Sacred 2 so he is slightly well equipped (all green gear)). The other classes who tried to kill him didn't even leave a scar but they need more levels and better gear than what I had on them. The HE is a shopper so made sure she was well equipped with MF gear and had 5 set parts on when she ran around in circles throwing meteors at the poor guy.

Gar is still a gate keeper, the game just gives you enough to kill to perhaps have a second chance if you can't take him down first time. Hence Orc territories are easy to access but you still need to kill the bosses in main chain to proceed the story. I try not to hang around when I see white enemies so I don't know when the areas cap out in silver (expect its on the wiki), but its not level 32 as I got chased through there by a pack of reds before. Just like S1, you can access the entire main continent at any time, if you know the way... the islands are mostly off bound. Reminds me, I should go to Xmas island again... its been a while.

Actually, the wiki has the complete quests for the HE. Having played both sides of the quests, light and shadow, there is no woman to escort to or within the human realm. Is it Shadow or Light you're playing? For some reason, I'm guessing shadow based on the mix-up I'm seeing. It is not an issue for me on console, but apparently on PC you have to reactivate the quest after the wedding ring quest to continue on.
