High level guides - how to keep boredom away

Recommended Posts

We all probably have read in a lot of guides:

read just one rune, socket ca stuff to keep regen times low

keep focus and lore of your main attack at character level

bring your weapon skill to mastery as soon as possible

...

The tips are not really wrong.

But Regeneration per Hit was brought with the Addon/console version.

At high levels it is easy to get a 100% chance to halve regen times.

Even weapon CA's can be brought to max speed with 50+% cast speed, again easy at high level.

...

So I want to ask if there is still a need for a 'Character creation guide for high level characters' or if I should just do examples of characters designed to have fun even at high levels?

high levels

higs levels

high levels

...

95% of players don't reach even platinum

5 % remaining people know all about game and don't need any guides yet.

However, I will write any new tips with highest interest, because, it seems, this game will never cease to amaze me.

I love the idea of more guides Chattius. As guides to others on high end builds, they would even have inspirational value... certainly "grouping" high end builds as to what a player can make that will get them their faster has utility... super high end smither, for example, can help with a character's entire group of toons.

I was reading too many times that people stopped a hammer shadow warrior to try out a polearm one, or a ranged one , or, ...

The only useful weaponskill is dual wielding in my eyes. Every other weaponskill robs flexibility. Most unique weapons have nothing unlocked by a weapon skill. Hit chance is easy to get at high levels, as is casting speed for the weapon CA's.

So by ignoring a weapon skill and taking a third focus for example a more creative playstyle can be achieved: fighting with all weapons except dualwielding. In case of the SW or the dryad fighting weaponless is much like dualwielding when taking the hard hitting ca's. The free skill can be taken for smithing, bargaining, magic find or another tree focus for more creativity.

To get most of the game with just a few characters:

A SW smith with 3 foci and tactics lore can modify all combat arts.

A dragon mage elementalist shopper can do the same and has a completly different playstyle.

Arcane Magic Coup and Ice elf combinated shopper

Using metamorphis tactics on the dragon mage can add a lot of fun: first using reg per hit and then change to a just 30% reg time character with combat discipline mastery and 100% chance to half regeneration. And once you got all the +CA-range gear on the character the playstyle changes again. Collect and kill whole screen.

The idea is to use different difficulties with different playstyles:

Playing an ice elf which starts with crystal skin and magic coup in silver or gold. And then does frost balls and ice storms for a difference once +ca range eq (faladal set, nlovae staff, shield, sigil set) and the 30% reg time is reached in higher difficulties. You don't have to restart. Just plan in advance which playstyle fits to which difficulty and take the skills and ca modifiers in a fitting order.

Create guide for this situation. I'm curious.

Use Moony's spwan mode, spawn 40-90 Garganthropods (Scorpion boss) in one location Run in between them a try kil it with mell Seraphim.  You will see what next  . (Mibbs)

I have BFG Seraphim 89 000 shield, 41 000 hp, 55 000-111 000 dmg

When I jumped between 8 of them I have no any chance.

The scorpion can have, I do not know 8-second immortality

slows regeneration your CA

And stuns you.
