There's a good chance most people would never see a Burning Skeleton. They only appear as summons of Elite Demon summoners, who in turn only appear in the small caves of the Wastelands. Plus there's a good chance you'll kill them before they get a chance to summon the skeletons.

I remember thinking the same thing once when I saw one, and realized how rare the model was, and how delightful the animation was to see.

Rarity equals yum.

Love seeing all the models yer unearthing Flix, treasure for the fans!

Also glad you made more hydras. They are one of the coolest animals in the game. Always thought they'd be tougher, but I guess with all the rest of the nasties in the swamp, specially the reflecting turtles, and spiders, they make their own case

I tested your mod and it's wonderful - great work!! :thumbs:

But one question: Normally I play at gold level a seraphim with excalted warrior und celestial magic (this with hallowed restoration).

For testing I used my old seraphim lv 60 gold, which never died before and I create a new one. But in this game I die so fast , I can take not so fast healing bottles to me as I die. I also take ,healing-buff' but I have the feeling, that the buff heeling has a very lower benefit to my seraphim as before. Or could it be that the enemies are a little bit stronger? I didn't install inferno mod....

For this game I think I have to revise my skills and start in a lower level... I

One wish: would be great if seraphim has more slots for rings and amulet ;--)

Thanks for playing it and writing back. I'm not surprised you died. It's best to start with a new character from level 1 in this mod. You may even want to start out in Easy difficulty to get to level 5-10 first and get your bearings.

 

It's quite a different world from the old Ancaria, and will be even more different in the next release. Enemies are a bit stronger (especially elite enemies - watch out for them!), because the original game was rather easy I felt. That being said, the mod may still need to be balanced better so I'm always willing to listen to feedback if something seems overpowered or underpowered.

 

Right now the health regeneration on Prayer is high - but it could still be increased more. I'll see about increasing it to around Goldenglade Touch levels and see if it's not overpowered.

 

Lastly, don't forget the Seraphim has an extra piece of armor (wings) that give extra modifiers and slots to socket rings and amulets. :)

Today I started with a brand new shadow warrier at silver and now I'm at level 9. Now some remarks / questions:

- The first quest I made: kill the wolf who has eaten the cow: Can't speak after killing the wolf to the order encoder (he had an exlamation mark). I had to quit the game and started new - than it works (this never happened before).

- game freeze: when I open the map and klick on monolith or portal or enter/leave a cave (but this happens since if I played with cm patch).

If I remember correctly in your enhanced spell mod were other combats as in diablo mod. Why didn't you place the enhanced spell mod in the diablo mod?

The letters in the questbook are a little small (smaller than before..) But the new fonts are great!

I don't think this is caused by the mod. I didn't edit any of the quests or NPC's involved in that quest.

Does this happen every single time? If not, it's probably just a common game problem. Sacred 2 has been called "horribly unoptimized" so freezing and crashing happens sometimes, especially after playing a long session.

Hmm... I'm not sure I understand this question. The Diablo 2 combat arts are a completely new set, and are the core of the mod. On the other hand, Enhanced Spells is built off of the normal Sacred 2 spells, with only a few replacements.

 

The letters in the questbook are a little small (smaller than before..) But the new fonts are great!

They actually seemed a bit bigger to me. :D If the logbook is hard to read, one thing you can try that might help is turning on "UI Scaling" in the Graphics Options menu.

 

 

By the way, I did some more testing and I think you're right that enemy weapon damage is a bit too high. I'm going to scale it back in the next release.

The freeze does not happen every time I enter a cage or portal. I think it's really a sacred problem (the old 2GB problem same as in Anno 1404).

Enclosed a picture of the combats I mean. Left are the combats from enhanced spell mod (I took this picture from here: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/21916-enhanced-spells-mod-sacred-2/) and on the right sight my combats.

In german forum I found this concerning enhanced spell mod: Neue Kampfkünste ! ( Unter anderem die deaktivierte Todeskälte Aura beim Schattenkrieger ist jetzt endlich nutzbar^^ )

I try to translate: shadow warrior: the deactived death cold (?) works. So I thougt that in diablo this combat ist usable...

I always thougt, you take the enhanced spell mods in this diablo mod - but if I understand your answer, you merge diablo with sacred combats? Sorry, my english is not so good and sometimes I've problems to understand all written sentences in this forum (and google translate is too bad).

By the way, I did some more testing and I think you're right that enemy weapon damage is a bit too high. I'm going to scale it back in the next release. perfect ;)

Yeah...I'm not sure how to explain it any more clearly. These are two different mods with different sets of combat arts. It's like if I offered you an apple pie, then later I offered you a chocolate pie and you're asking why I didn't put apples in it as well. The whole point of the chocolate pie is that it has chocolate filling. If you want apples, just eat the apple pie. The entire point of the Diablo mod is to have Diablo 2 combat arts, so I don't see why you're asking me to put Enhanced Spells combat arts into this release. If that's what you want, just play Enhanced Spells. :)

Hello :)

Its a great and huge mod but I have some problems..

Some Spells or Buffs arent correct.. if I want to use my shieldbuff with seraphim it doesnt work.. the shield doesnt come..

orthe fire demon buff from highelf is now another spell. my hands burn or something but in the description there is the firedemon listed not the burning hands.. the same with the most spells.. the old descriptions but not the new ones.. pls help

heyho nein ich meine das Schild. also der buff bei dem man ein schild hat. zudem wenn ich schockwelle benutzen will setzt er bekehrung ein.. ka warum?

Ach so, dann spielst du eine Techniksera.

Welche Mods hast du aktiviert? Kann es sein, dass du mehrere mods aktiviert hast? Wenn du den Diabolo Mod aktiviert hast, dann dürfen keine weiteren Mods (mit Ausnahme des Inferno Mods) aktiv sein.

In my last post I asked rezzit rather he installed some more mods instead of only diablo because I believe that he perhaps made a mistake by installation of mods. Because his combats don't do the things they should... For example: instead of warding energy comes instill belief...

It would be lovely if gogo would promote the new mods made by flix on the main boards, forum/wiki , so people may know about it without having a friend tell them. Will bring a increasing number of players to this forum, and probably restarting the interest of older players.
