What is the most newbie friendly Sacred 2 character in CM-1.50 ?

Dragon Mage?

I was asked this alot and I use to say the dragon mage is a very good choose for your first character. But is it really the dragon mage, or is it just my personal preference?

Reason to vote for the dragon mage:

Berzerk form brings you through silver and most of gold. This allows to keep bargaining or enhanced perception at character level. This is quite useful if you really start with an empty chest and no bargainer network.

Even if getting bored of the dragon mage it can still be a part in a bargainer network.

to fight this boredom: versatile playstyles possible:

Berzerk form is melee, if it drops the character should drop back into a reg per hit based melee range caster.

Mid to late game the character can be played as a pure caster.

Seraphim is still very noob-friendly. The BFG will always give Berserk a run for its money..

For the ranged beginners I would recommend the Dryad as a good starter.

 

And we can all agree that the Temple Guardian is one of the WORST starters – he’s too pro for noobs.

especially if you play him with trading AND smithing!

 

I would also vote for seraphim as starting char. doesn't matter if you choose melee or BFG, it will bring you to niob without any problems.
