No price or release data info was given. They started off by listing what would not be included: Level cap increase. L80 will still be max level. New gear tier. Ascended gear will remain best-in-slot. Not too many solid details, but here are a few things they mentioned: Masteries which will be account-bound abilities that can be unlocked. The one example they gave was a hang glider for travel. Specializations will allow you to unlock more/different abilities for each Profession. The example given was that Rangers could unlock the Druid specialization. Revenant will be a new heavy class that will channel different historical legends and use their abilities. New weapon/Profession combos will allow Professions to use weapons that weren't previously allowed. The example given was a Necro wielding a greatsword. New WvW Borderland map and new mechanics that will encourage defense. New sPvP mode Guild Halls In conjunction with this announcement, GW2 is on sale for only $10. 3 Link to comment

Necro with greatsword...*umpf*...becoming a frontline fighter? rest of it is ok for an Addon... Link to comment

You're right. Necro with greatsword...*umpf*...becoming a frontline fighter? Maybe not, the mesmer is using a greatsword, and it has long-range skills. 1 Link to comment
