Popular Post rm3000 85
So I look through the forum every now and then and sometimes I even notice the waving flags. However, once in a while I find myself wondering what country this or that flag might be. I can of course 'open image in new tab'.However, I'm lazy. Therefore, I'd like to suggest a popup text or something similar for said flags - like with 'Your Profile, Messenger, Notifications' in the top right corner.Or am I just missing something here? 2 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,042
Ahh, I remember when we got those. It was actually one of our moderators, BHJ who did the coding for that almost ten years ago (wow, we're getting old here ). I'm not sure if we're actually able to change the coding now to something that shows a pop up, as we're going to be upgrading the all the forum software to latest version of IPB (yay! ) and, in fact, lol, had forgotten that we could right click function to see where the flags are actually from... whew at least happy we can do that though, and when we upgrade the software, maybe it'll have the option to advance it to a pop up for easier and faster reading? gogo Link to comment
Popular Post Knuckles 904
So we can't add flags !? There goes my dreams of hitting the lottery and buying an isle and setting up the tiny independent Isle of Robb. I mean if I can't have a flag in here, it just doesn't seem worth it any more. 2 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,042
lol... im not sure about adding flags...but that would be cool! ... I remember it was a download pack that BHJ and Schot worked on. Cool thing about the new software forum upgrade it that it has a lot of "soft" touches to it, and significant popup technology. gogo Link to comment
rm3000 85
Oh. Didn't think about that. Basically, it's just <a title="popup text here">text/picture/whatever</a> but of course it gets a little bit more complicated when the page is generated by some script. In this case, I'm off to wikipedia to see if I can't get a nice list or table. Link to comment
