always Found it a delight the first few times to pick one up and fire… Like something from the far future in a Kind of mediaeval fantasy game … The developers were spot on with the ranged energy weapons sounds

thats interesting... the two handed energy weps are stargate reference, and the star trek is one handed?

Yeah, "staves" vs "phasers". But it's more of a loose reference than a specific one, design-wise.
