What files to modify to have mouse cursor in silver?

Hi everyone, last week I installed Sacred 2 on my PC, and discovered this game. Coming from Path of Exile, great game but with a boring game you have to do 3 times before mapping, Sacred 2 is a real refresh.

I use several mod: CM patch - Item mod hotfix - Elite frame - Serious texture Wardust - Book color and Vampire Menu - Some files tga of diablo 2 fallen mod to have the interface color silver and not gold.

All this goes through Radeonpro + Sweetfx, it works really well. Sacred 2 becomes more serious, less flashy, finally more beautiful for me.

But mouse cursors are always gold, what files to modify to have them in silver ?

Hello! What you should do is this (for software cursor):

1. Look in the game's "pak" folder and open the file called "skin.zip"

2. Extract the folder called "cursor" into a subfolder called "data" within the "pak" folder

3. So the directory would be something like: C:/Sacred 2/pak/data/cursor/

 

Within that "cursor" folder are all the original Ice and Blood cursor files, which are silver. When you extract them like I described, they would overwrite the gold CM Patch cursors.

If you have Hardware Cursor enabled in the options menu, the process is the same but the hardware cursor files are in a different directory:

graphics10.zip/hq/gui/hwcursor -- these are the gold ones, you'd have to extract them and change them to silver color yourself.

 

Once extracted, the cursor files should be in a directory like C:/Sacred 2/pak/hq/gui/hwcursor/

Hi Legosp, I use radeonpro with sweetfx to desaturate color and having atmosphere more dark.
