In inquisition this was normally to kill witches with fire, drowning, ... Main reason to call someone a witch in Germany was that the church or people close to it wanted someones property or death. Some horses got an infection of Equine herpesvirus. The outbreak was not known before tournament was over so the infection got wide spread. It was electric driven via a belt near the socket. In war times without electricity my grandpa changed it to drive the centrifuge via a bicycle. Smaller separators used a hand crank. Good or bad: no heating, no pasteurizing. The bacteria in the milk are still there and could be used for some cheeses, joghurt, ... 1 Link to comment
