genuine maple syrup  YUM ->Apfelkraut

local recipes are more than 500 years old. To conservate fruits as food for late winter/spring the juice was slowly boiled till the sugar in them started to caramalize. Mainly apples and pears, when we make it we use other fruits too: quinces, sorbes,service tree, ... all what we have on trees. It is not the pure Apfelkraut from the Rhine nor the sirop de Liège which has more exotic fruits because closer to a harbor. It is our own local mix we are used too.

Spread on a bread, to make a deer ragout crispy, ... so many uses.

In difference to jelly or marmalade no other sugar is used. When the recipe was invented sugar was very expensive because it had to be importated and sugar beets were not yet bred (was some centuries later when the emporor of prussia forced the breeding from sugar beets from normal sugar beets).

Profiler is unfortunately NOT a new show. It came out in the 90's. It was however one of those Columbus and Magellan shows that pioneered the procedural police drama, as well as shows that had a unique "hook". It was also one of the only shows - alongside La Femma Nikita - that was headlined by a female.

Profiler was a fascinating show that featured Doctor Samantha "Sam" Waters who was such a brilliant Profiler that some people believed she actually had psychic powers. She becomes the object of a particularly sick serial killer's obsession. He is named Jack (as in Jack of All Trades) because he never kills in the same way twice. After he kills her husband, Sam goes into hiding. But a case that completely stumps the FBI pulls her out into the open again.

I highly recommend.

Love the analysis... I've been pulled into some profiling series on netflix, and they are very captivating... putting together all the data and then predicting... David Fincher doing what he does best... :thumbsup:
