Our 125 people village has no castle but a fortified church with wall and tower. If not used as a church it would qualify as a small castle. Less than 15 minutes (cross country with bike) away are these castles: Braunfels (brown rock), where my sister was born close to the castle Dillenburg (Dill is a river, burg = castle) , without corona twins would visit a school there Greifenstein (Greif = bird of prey) where my younger sister lives, the village was build with and on the ruins of a very big castle. The picture is just the former inner defense. The houses are behind the second wall. Herborn, 2 classmates of my sister injured, one died when a truck with fuel exploded mid in twon, my sister was lucky that this day she decided to do handball training ... Link to comment
