An idiot fired a flare gun while the band played KingKong. chattius 2,519 Posted June 10, 2021 Share Posted June 10, 2021 web ->castellated beam I first learned the name WEB when helping my pa and grandpa to build a metal structure to hold a crane to lift engines into the barn of my grandpa. Was a low teen then and it was before WWW ;) A beam was cut in two parts in a wave form and welded together with holes in the web. So the beam was way lighter. The main reason however was that the barn was cultural heritage and the openings were for wooden parts which had to kept. Link to comment
