Popular Post Hooyaah 2,800
Welcome to DarkMatters, Jacek. It's a privilege to have you here with us. I think that it's cool that your daughter likes the game too. Perhaps she may enjoy creating her own High Elf character so that she doesn't have to share. Still, there's nothing wrong with sharing, it's actually a good father-daughter bonding thing. I have a daughter too and she's attending a University here in Texas. She has about 100 hours accumulated toward a double major (Biology & Geology) and a perfect 4.0 G.P.A., so I know what it is to be a proud father too. My daughter and I speak Spanish together in the house sometimes, but she's more fluent than am I. I'm an average guy too, just enjoying having my daughter home for Christmas break. Like you, I enjoy playing Sacred 2 until the wee hours of the night sometimes. I look forward to seeing you here, posting in the forums and enjoying the site and the people here. Oh, if your daughter does want to start her own player, I started a thread about giving High Elf characters their own elvish name. She might enjoy that and you can check it out here if you wish. 2 Link to comment

Popular Post Spock 271
I envy you both. Both my daughters are grown with families of their own. I used to play computer games with them when they were younger, but now the older one is too busy to do much of anything and the younger has moved on to console games. Hmm, my youngest daughter hates being called "The Baby of the Family". My wife is only in her early 70's, perhaps we could create another sibling to share my computer gaming prowess with ... 2 2 Link to comment
Popular Post chattius 2,512
Welcome My 5 are 12 years apart. The youngest 3 weren't even born when Sacred2 came out. The oldest is working on her master, the second visits a full day school half a state away, the third prefers to make and listen to music above all games and the mixed twins are playing mainly table tennis together. With the oldest I played Sacred 2 a lot. Most often when my wife or me had night readiness. We had Sacred2 installed on the server at our volunteer fire-fighter building and did LAN parties there. But with 5 kids and splitting the time between them there is less and less time for Sacred2 2 Link to comment
Popular Post Delta! 985
Welcome to DarkMatters. Hope you have a wonderful time for many years to come. Jacek 19
That's a very friendly and helpful community you guys have here...or maybe I misspoke so let me rephrase.... that's a very friendly and helpful community WE have here Although I am not sure if I can consider myself part of community yet given my short membership so far... My input has been almost nonexistent (unless u count numerous questions I post ) and your output has been huge I just read an interesting article about addiction to computer games and WHO's plans to have it listed as ... psychiatric disorder Well...so my daughter and I will soon go see a shrink, hopefully courtesy of Polish National Health Fund as atm we do not have the money to cover therapy out of my own pocket I wish we put as much effort and dilligence in other stuff, like she studying English and me doing damn analysis and translations for The Master of Life and Death... ie The Boss. "Sorry Boss, no analysis, no translation, no nothing...CAN'T YOU SEE I"M COMPARING PROS AND CONS OF LIFE ENERGY vs REPLENISH FOR OUR FRAGILE LADY, DAMN IT" And next thing I know is him handling me the referral to see the shrink ... Enough of this already...back to grinding... ...analysis Btw, to keep my conscience calm when I play I turn the game's volume down and listen to 1 hr of Spanish news and 1 hr of BBC 2 hrs of gaming a night is all I can pull off...you know...being old sucks...my back hurts, my eyes hurts, my butt hurts...recently my left wrist started to give my minor problems...carpal tunel syndrome or whatever you call it...but it bears one nice implication for me actually... which is... an extended leave of absence from work to have it cured Just kidding...in case They monitor my online activities during office hours... I'm usually on my mobile but got a little sloppy today and used office computer - bad me Cheers 1 Link to comment

I'm usually on my mobile but got a little sloppy today and used office computer - bad me Cheers You poor soul, what have you gotten yourself into? My computer loads the game so fast that I don't see the silly messages as the game is loading as I used to. One of them says "You did not call in sick just to play this game, now did you?" I believe that they were referring to you specifically, Jacek. All joking aside, we actually consider you to be a part of our community here. You share our love of Sacred 2 and we thank you for your interesting and often humorous posts. As far as your sore butt, get a more cushy chair or a pillow. For your hand it may actually not be carpal tunnel but a misalignment in your metacarpal bones. You may try rolling your palm on a tennis ball or seeing a Doctor of Osteopathy or a chiropractor. For your eyes, take a five minute break once per hour and look far into the horizon (thousand yard stare) for several minutes. That and some saline eye drops should do the trick. Sorry, but I cannot help with the boss. Perhaps you can buy a copy of the game for his next birthday. Yet, he may get addicted too, lose his job and you could get a tougher boss. Perhaps I should stop blathering on so that you can get back to the game, or work, its ultimately your decision. I know that you will make the right one. 2 1 Link to comment
