gogoblender 3,068
I remember how much fun it was when this game was first released...everyone was looking so strange... all these mixed up glows, and noone knew what was happening.. finally posts started going up all over the forums, and finally "glow points" got organized... One of the really cool, funky treasures of this game... also, could there have been bonuses for everyone getting the same glow or something? Or maybe that was the sunglasses for a bonus shared by a party..I forget... gogo Link to comment
Serboi 29
Glowing bonuses offer a visual effect representing the accumulated item piece bonuses. In order to gather them, you need to have items equipped with a particular bonus. For instance if you have armor with 56 Fire resistance and 50 Physical resistance, your armor will add one Fire glow attribute which isn't shown up until you collect several pieces of equipment which add the specific Fire attribute bonus. Note here : Fire, Poison and Magic need exactly SIX pieces of equipment portraying the highest attribute of their respected representation. So, six items with biggest Fire in anything will give you bonus Fire glow and you get a 15% Fire Resistance bonus. The only one that needs 8 bonuses is the Physical protection. Note here : You can also use the horse to gain extra advantages. Note here : You can use the Armor type with biggest Physical Resistance bonus. If it has a slot, you add the ring which add the Physical damage bonus. That effectively gives you 2 Physical resistance bonuses. In a sense all this comes a bit vague because for it to really show any particular damage resistance bonus that can be useful is at a much later game when the character has enough Resistance for it to be useful, however at that time it's much better to just build a lot of Defense so that enemies can't even hit you, thus you mitigate their entire damage regardless of the bonus resistance which you may acquire. You may find it being useful when entering the Fire area as well as the Poison troll areas. Magic would be ok to build at attacking the Ice Elves.
