Brasileiros e pessoas que falam portugues!!! Vamos para Ancaria:) - Brazilians and Portuguese speaking people!!! Let's go to Ancaria :)

skill.PNG.15d44e1c317ddb19a20c7abd802fff86.PNG

TRANSLATION FROM GOOGLE TRASLATE

Hello friends...

I'm looking for people who live in Brazil or who speak Portuguese to share ideas and even play in group this fabulous game ... The Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel
I would love to partner with and work on a Portuguese translation of Sacred 2

I only have one character at level 80 being played on the silver difficulty. It is a Dragon Mage in the light campaign geared towards spells and combat arts. After I unlocked the 10 usual abilities, I was able to unlock 6 more using Sacred2CharacterEditor ... I used those extra skills to unlock abilities such as trading, blacksmithing, alchemy, increased perception ... I have seriously considered developing sword or attack abilities the distance since the staffs have their limitations.
I like to play exploratory ... I want to discover all the places on the map and do all the secondary quests.

skill.PNG.15d44e1c317ddb19a20c7abd802fff86.PNG

I love the "Sacred 2 Enhanced Edition" mod that elegantly transforms various game quests giving you a new balance, new spells and immersive gameplay. When we use this mod with the "challenge mode" and the "SuperSpawn" contained as optional mods of the same, the game becomes more incredible still remembering enough the Sacred1. Dragon Mage looks great with this mod as he gains an "ally dragon" (Buff) that is impossible not to cling to. I have already turned my mascot into Ancaria ... lololol My dream is that the creator of this mod (Flix) resolve to change the Buff "protector" for a beautiful Dryad allied just to see her running around next to me in the insane battles we encounter map. I do not know why but I end up getting attached to these allies ... I got piffed when Wilbur died in Sacred 1 ... lolololol
I'm in Chapter 2 and I just beat Gar Colossu in an arduous battle because I only had to take a stone that died ... After many attempts and almost a week of fighting, I got an inglorious victory by taking advantage of a small bug that happened. .. lolololol

big_0039.thumb.jpg.926666dc3fa0bfd085dae0c2815b1fdd.jpg

My character is experiencing a crucial moment ... Only after completing 300 missions and practically detonating Artamark did I notice a boring bug in Dragon Mage ... After you make a combo with more than two spells, you can not get more. delete this combo sentence to always have three spells. Also I notice some bugs in the missions and so it goes ... I ended up finding out that all this is corrected when we make a new character with Community Patch 1.60. Although I already use this genius patch, my memory was created without it making the bugs fixed if they keep ... In the end ... Or start a new character from scratch, or I make a clone of my character with Sacred2CharacterEditor facing the level of gold difficulty. However, the 180 hours of the Dragon Mage are lost along with completed missions ... lololol And to make matters worse, after picking up miserably for Gar Colossu I seriously suspect that my character can not stand the gold level with the "challenge mode" ... lololololol

2028315431_meuscombos.thumb.jpg.58f317c1818bd2e3f7cc4b2641a9ae64.jpg

In the end ... There are already 6 months of crazy game in this game. And like any addict in this game, ideas pop in my mind, a desire to create modifications and dazzle the various types of strategies that we can put together. It is a game of infinite possibilities. I really do not understand why he is so little known among Brazilians. Sacred 1 is best known and there is also a translation for it. Fallen Angel, as well as unknown, the only option for those who do not know English is to face Spanish ... Thinking about it I share with you here a little of how my experience in this game is, marking and attracting the Brazilian presence and promoting the exchange of ideas ... But ... I mainly intend to meet new friends to experience this together ... So ... Let's go to Ancaria :) lololol

I like your enthusiasm, but a full game translation is a huge huge task! You need to translate every little detail down to the books you get from drops, it's not just the common game details like menus and skills. It's an enormous task and I don't think that it's something that two guys can accomplish. I too love the game and I've been playing it since 2009, but I don't have the availability to spend months translating it entirely. Real life demands my time and the off time from that is spent in Ancaria anyway. :D

You should really start a new toon with CM 1.60 because the difference is immense.

Love your work and energy, vagnerhammer!

We've had teams working on translations of the game over years now, and as Androdion says, it's a huge undertaking.  I remember when Schot was starting up the Sacred Wiki years ago he had put in code that allowed the work to be translated into different languages, and there's been so many as well here I think even including Russian.

Sharing this game with others is a very generous action nice gift for the fans!

I really do not even know what to say ... lolol

The feeling I have today is that I have gained a second life in Ancaria. No matter how absurd this seems to be ... It's contagious! The game map, both the first (Sacred 1) and the sengundo (Fallen Angel) are magnificent. Exploring this world is receiving a new life.

It is unfortunate that the companies responsible for the project do not insist on updates based on these communities that form around the game. And thus arises the enormous desire to make their own contribution.
It really is not easy Androdion. In Ancaria, everything is very vast. lololol I say this without mentioning the technical difficulty. I for example ... I can barely change some values in the "balance.txt" .... I tried a few weeks ago change the slot number in an armature ... If it were not the backups, I would have to installation the game again because I ended up getting no slot in all the armors .. lololo

I ended up being content to try to learn a little of the logic of programming with "RPG Maker MV". What apparently has nothing to do with the techniques used of Sacred ... lolol
On the other hand ... The union makes the force! It is to share and to make the family of Ancaria grow more and more. lolol

Gratitude Androdion and gogoblender ... Talking with people who have ten years of history in the sacred to tell is a privilege. May we present the world of Ancaria to more and more people ... It is a masterpiece in my opinion.

Gratitude!!!

Mal consigo alterar alguns valores no "balance.txt"....
A união faz a força!

Androdion ... How would you translate the following terms?

High Elf (ing) / Alta Elfa (esp) >> Elfa Superior:) (pt)
Lore (ing) / Conocimiento (esp) >> In Spanish they also use the word "wisdom" ... But they are big, has many letters... They leak the screen... Best word I found was "Gnose"
Arrant Pyromancer (ing) / Piromante Arrant (esp)...  >> What is "Arrant"?

Androdion... Como você traduziria os seguintes termos?

High Elf (ing) / Alta Elfa (esp) >> Elfa Superior:) (pt)
Lore(ing) /  Conocimiento (esp) >> No espanhol usam também a palavra "sabedoria"... Porem são palavras grandes... Ficam vazando a tela... Melhor palavra que encontrei foi "Gnose"
Arrant Pyromancer (ing)/ >>> Afinal de contas...  "O que é "Arrant"?

Arrant means a lot of things: https://www.thefreedictionary.com/arrant

I'd say something like (given the context):

  • High Elf - Elfa Superior (can't think of a better sounding alternative, everything else will have more than two words)
-> Note that this is an exact translation to Portuguese.
  • Arrant Pyromancer - Piromante Absoluta (arrant in this case seems to be more about "completely and totally a pyromancer", so that seems alright)
  • Thanks! 1

High Elf

What do you think of "Mago Elfo"? >>> Is There High Elf Man (Male)?

Lore/ Folclore >>>(If you look at the meaning of the word "Folklore" you realize that the meaning is quite different. Folklore is ... Popular knowledge ... Mythology ... Denotes "LIE"... History to be told at the edge of the campfire for children...)

Arrant Pyromancer / Until then I closed in "Pirocinese" ... I think of "Inferno" that is of the German version

Link to comment

"Mago Elfo" is male in gender, so no. If it was "Higher/Supreme/whatever Elf" it could be easily translated in another way. But "High Elf" is just like "High Priest", which is "alto sacerdote". Now how do you say that with the word "Elfa"?! You need to use the degree in adjectivation to translate it. In my opinion "Elfa Superiora" is as correct as it could be. "Elfa Alta" or "Alta Elfa" sounds like a completely different kind of adjectivation.

Lore is the general knowledge of something, whereas folklore has more of a diminishing emphasis like if it's a "simpler lore". But in the Portuguese language there aren't two separate words like that. At least in PT-PT we always say "folclore". If you want to use it in another way you could use something like "conhecimento", but that's basically "knowledge" so I don't know... The term "pirocinese" is literally pyrokinesis. But the word you're trying to translate is "pyromancer", which is someone who uses his/her pyrokinetic ability.

Now, putting both subjects into perspective:

  • Arrant Pyromancer -> Piromante Absoluta - Seems correct but you need to add the lore and the subject is a tree of knowledge. You could use "piromancia" but that's divination by fire so it doesn't cut it. So "pirocinese" could actually work since it's an ability and the subject fits.
  • Arrant Pyromancer -> Pirocinese Absoluta / Arrant Pyromancer Lore -> Folclore de Pirocinese Absoluta - Sounds off doesn't it?! How about "knowledge" instead? It should be "Conhecimento de Pirocinese Absoluta", which sounds better but still not totally accurate. But it's the best I can think of.

It should fit, if you look at meaning of it: https://www.thefreedictionary.com/lore

PS: If you use "lore = conhecimento" your life will be easier when translating other skills and skill trees. Try translating them with that word in mind and you'll see.

Amigo...

Priorizar o entendimento e negligenciar as margens do menu.

Apenas seguia aonde a missão mandava ir...

Not that we should be writing in Portuguese, but I can understand why you did it.

A raça seria "Elfos Superiores", no masculino "Elfo Superior" e no feminino "Elfa Superior".

Now, in English ladies and gentlemen. Vagner has issues with English so he basically had an extended conversation on the subject we've been addressing. Bottom line is that the Portuguese language is complicated as hell when compared with English, so most translations will break the format on the skill set due to being wider in word size and number than the original in English. The word "lore" seems to be the first real obstacle towards a translation, but anything that's gender related is also a mess.

So, I don't know. Maybe this is possible and maybe it isn't. It's not just a matter of linguistics anymore, it's also a matter of the game not being formatted visually for the (size of the) language. I can image CA tooltips will be another nightmare...
