mystical_fan 4
I can't get my any of the characters for the quest to talk to my high elf. What has gone wrong? Link to comment
Hooyaah 2,820
It's necessary to first perform two tasks before engaging the Ascaron employees and asking them to return to the office. It's a bit of a spoiler but if you wish, read more from the Sacred wiki regarding the Sacred 2:Epic Office Quest below. Spoiler Epic Office Quest 1 Link to comment
mystical_fan 4
Yes, I’ve done that and the quest had opened and the blue rings marking the location of the employees are on my map but when I click on them (the employee) nothing happens and they don’t talk. I have the community patch. Link to comment
Hooyaah 2,820
@Flix, do you have any ideas? My only suggestion is that you may not have spoken with the quest giver at the office inside the cave entrance on the plateau adjacent to the swamp region near the falls. Link to comment
mystical_fan 4
Yes I did speak to the quest giver Link to comment
Androdion 883
He had to Hooyaah, otherwise the blue circles wouldn't appear on the map. @mystical_fan - Are you playing with a character created anew after the installation of the patch? Because if you aren't that's probably the cause of your issues. Link to comment
mystical_fan 4
OK, thanks. I think the character was created before the patch. If this is the case, then I have to start all over again. Is this correct? Link to comment
Androdion 883
Yeah, pretty much. That quest is bound to be broken otherwise. Link to comment
mystical_fan 4
Oh bugger, but thanks everyone, for all your help Link to comment
Flix 5,116
That is absolutely the reason. Quest behavior got changed in Community Patch and then got changed again to fix/undo some of the aforementioned changes. That quest in particular is the big reason why new characters are recommended if changing game versions. 1 Link to comment
