How to kill NPC

Recommended Posts

  • 3 months later...

Thanks buddy,

This is working but in another expected way:

1/There are less NPC into the city. They still answer you if you go toward them though.

2/Some of NPC and also enemies, are fighting between themselves. Some are running after others. This is making the game a little bit less stupid than to see animals, monsters and humans making teams against playable character. But it leaves an insane atmosphear in the cities.

3/Children stop bothering me! Especially when I am trading with a merchant! (yes! They were my first target!!!)

4/ Secondary quests are accessible yet.

Eventually, I'm going to continue with because this log renders the game more sensible. If you are the creator of it put your copyright on

Hello!

Friend/enemy relationships are handled in faction.txt.  It's located in the game's install folder under scripts/server.  If you use this version that I attached, every NPC should be hostile and therefore killable.  I haven't tested it.  Back up your old faction.txt and use at your own risk.  It will probably make most quests unplayable but if you just want mayhem it should deliver.

faction.txtUnavailable

Hello. I have the same problem with that quest, the NPC follows me everywhere and I cant finish the quest. Can you please reupload the fraction.txt file because the one posted here is Unavailable. Tnx in advance

The download is working fine for me. Perhaps it's a limitation due to low post count.  I will republish it as a Google Drive link:

Be advised that this makes pretty much everyone killable.

I have tried with this but the NPC still cant be killed and is still following me. Do you know any solution about how to ditch him?  I dont wanna be bothered by him for the whole playthrough.

Place all of your set , unique, and legendary items in the shared chest and close the game. Then load a Multiplayer game. You may even want to play a quest or two in Multiplayer and then quit the game. Try loading a Single player game, having kept all of your unique, and legendary items in the shared chest. I hope that works for you. If not, then when you progress to the next level (Silver to Gold) the NPC follower/stalker should be gone. Remember to store special and valuable items only in your shared chest from now on.

Thanks for that help Flix, very helpful for senmik... I checked post levels needed for downloads, and its currently set at zero, so this should not cause friction

I have done what you suggest but it didnt happen anything. I tried multiplayer and did a quest than went back to single player and the npc is still here. Ahhh its so annoying to have him follow me for the whole playthrough.

You may just have to switch from Silver to Gold or from Bronze to Silver. If you haven't finished your quest then that is the problem. Have you completed all of the quest steps? What quest and what was your last step?

The quests auto fails when you take it. I didnt do anything and in logbook appeared as failed quest and the npc just follows you nonstop and also mobs cant kill him cuz hes immortal. I was playing on bronze 1 month ago and deleted my char right after I finished Desert area because of broken quest, now im exatcly at the same place at the end of desert area on silver and I get again bugged quest if I uninstall the game once more idk if I'll ever play it again....

I am happy to help. The quest started in Badawi, didn't it? I think that it's "The Salesman of Death Quest." You didn't fail the quest, I believe, only a part of it wasn't done in the correct order. You need to escort the NPC south on the road to Teardrop Hamlet. Halfway, you should protect him from being killed. Then return to Badawi.

But in the logbook the quest has X mark as failed quest. I've tried going to  Teardrop Hamlet and nothing happend.

There is a woman in a small house off the edge of the arena. You are supposed to do a couple of tasks elsewhere in the village and then she will then have a quest for you as a question mark appears over her. Then, she will as a favor and after will have made the other quest appear; it won't show as failed. I recommend making a "saved character" folder inside the saved games folder and saving the character and "latest" file in that regularly. As in most games, it's very difficult to complete all quests with no missed or failed quests.
