Hey guys

First off this is not a dark matters officially sponsored game...yet

lol, the admin team here is currently snowed under with too much work and I don't think we can handle another game right now.

However...part of what everyone derives fun and good energy from is a lot of people all havin fun doin the same thing.

So...this is what we can offer.

I've opened up a forum here for Space4k..it's a little deep but since it's not an official Dark Game, I figgerred we could save on front page forum space and set it in a bit deeper. Of course...you can still one-click yer way into this general discussion area and so it's not that bad.

It's not a problem having community members here all playing another game under another clan name as long as the needs of the non sponsored game do not become too much.

If requests for resources here at darkmatters start to change...well, this means that our peeps like and play the game and that this game is a target for sponsorship.

Llama asked me how does one go about getting a game to be a real D.a.r.k. sponsored game.

First off, we're a forum oriented community.

Forum first.

Me, Claire, Schot and BHJ work first with the basis of this forum as our community cornerstone. So for a game to become sucessful and finally reach sponsorship we need to:

 

1-Have a Clan Captain. This is perhaps THE most difficult thing to do. They have to be honorable, fair, and...Darkish, lol. They also have to be able to put up with adminning a clan, leading it and are accountable to the admins here at dark matters.

 

2-If you want the Dark name, there should be a good number of posts goin on here at dark matters about the game. More posts=higher chance.

 

3-Period of study. I"m winging this here but I think a month should be good to see whether or not the game takes off or not. This his how DA does it. Interestingly enough...they dropped ogame because they thought it wasn't "for" their community and the "fit" wasn't right. This is a good way to see if interest is here and if it fits the standards, morals and interests of the direction of the Fellowship.

 

Well, this is what I"ve come up with so far.

This community, darkmatters, the fellowship...it all belongs to all of us.

So please...if you guys have any other ideas, comments or ways we can go about this never hesitate to post or reach me by pm. DArk matters is new and quite unique being a community that has started off with browser games and this is very unlike other thriving communities that baseline with bought game. As such, our challenges are special and therefore the solutions could be as well.

Currently, I'm not interested in sponsorship for the alliance I founded in Space4K; I'm not sure how important/interesting it will be for me just yet, I'm still in test phases.

 

With activity and interest, there may be a future petition though... maybe not. It depends on how we feel in the alliance

What I can also do is this

I can create more individual forum within the new Space4k...tell me what you need and I"ll do it...jsut as long as we keep this all as public space.

Public forums are ez to build

I messed around a bit with the permissions for this forum so now no guest or member can see it

 

I have noted a few concern that threads like this one was public

 

this is a fast solution and iam not sure if it will stay like this but it does the job of keeping you stats "safe" for now

after discussing the permissions for the Space4K section here at DM internaly it has been decided to open it for members but still keep it hidden from guests as this is not a D.a.r.k. Matters officially sponsored game and the founder of the alliance is not interested in sponsorship for the alliance he founded in Space4K

Ok I hope my permission to view this thread would not be revoked because of my leaving Dark_Sabre. In case you people don't know yet I have joined the Guards of Justice the other day. It is currently the # 3 alliance points wise and # 2 in PPM. Also is has 2 players in the top 4 right now.

 

Anyway I made my 1st attack with my sentihs and I was very, very happy with the result.
