Ah, my fave past time. Messing around with photoshop. ;)

Great thing about photoshopping is that you can always go back to your creation and adjust it. It has a good feel about it Beowulf. In that it seems to have meaning... Ugh. Hard to explain or even understand but I like it anywho, lol. I'd like to offer a couple touch up suggestions.

I find the black background might be better if you put in some atmosphere in its place. Reason being is that I believe I am seeing grass at the bottom and so I'm kind of looking for other signs of an environment. So maybe a day or night sky would do well, "for me".

The gold rods with the white discs. There's tons you could do to those. At the moment they seem very flat. You could slap some texture on them using the bevel option in PS. The white discs look very jagged but maybe you could smooth them out, make them nice and round.

One other thing that catches my eye is your name in there. It's much more deserving. :)

... omg... Did you say "PS" as in Paintshop or Photoshop?! lol

It has a nice techno/modern feel. However, it doesn't really have a focus. The whole center is essentially black, which leaves the viewer wondering where to look. I made a couple of modifications -- one to the line and three spheres on the left and the other to your name. The stuff on the left makes it look a bit cleaner, I think, and gives the spheres a 3D effect. The name change makes it a bit more legible. Thoughts?

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys..when I get a chance I'll definitely try some of your ideas.

And I meant Photoshop, Schot.. though it is a fairly old version  I like the smoothing of the orbs idea and agree that my name needs work in the original. I'm liking how your second version came out, Ike..I'll try to do something similar probably..or maybe not..who knows :o

Anyway, thanks again to both of you for your input ;)

Cool, glad to help. To make the orbs more spherical I started with a dark grey and did a 22pt circle. Then I selected a slightly lighter color and did a 20pt circle, and continued on down to 8pt. I centered the circles slightly to the right and lower on each one. At the end I used the soften tool to smooth it out. As I mentioned, I am using Paint Shop Pro, 'cause that is what I am familiar with. But you can do simialr -- and much more -- in PhotoShop. Have fun, and keep experimenting!
