Hi folks,

Simple question. Does ice have the effect as in Diablo games where enemies get slowed down/immobilized when successfully hit with a ice damage?

I'm sure you're going to get a better, in depth answer from a member here... but I quickly looked this up on the Wiki, and its saying that when you have an ice converter in your weapon it increases chance to "freeze" on the enemy

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Ice_Crystal

It's a good question and i went a bit further.  For "slowing" it looks like there's an item modifier itself that, separately which has this

effect

hope i got this right?

Nice info. It would be nice to know if weapons do actually slowdown enemies as well. Ill try to forge some ice weapons and test this tonight.

Freeze effect causes the enemies to slow down, some weapons have that modifier that slows opponents as well. The effect depends on its source, some CAs for instance have a cumulative effect like Frost Flare on the High Elf.

In all honesty, there are so many secondary effects in this game that you'll have a good time going through all of them.

Item mods in this game are so fun!

1 This page here gives you all the item modifiers in the game

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Item_Modifiers#:~:text=all Combat Arts.-,Damage Item Modifiers,green%2C and physical is yellow.

pick and choose according as to how you'd like to bedeck your character

I remember starting to put in uniques and sets on each page back then ... so that someone could just pick an item mod and then see all the weapons in the game that had it... for some, for example chance to disregard armor,  the work has been completed

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Chance_to_disregard_armor

... for others... well, the   Wiki's always being worked on

Simply put, ice damage from any source has a change to trigger the "Freeze" secondary effect.  This is a movement speed penalty.  Like other secondary effects, the intensity of freeze is dependent on the amount of ice damage inflicted.

Some ice spells (like Frost Flare) also have a built-in movement speed debuff that is guaranteed to trigger with each hit.  This can stack with itself and with the Freeze effect.

Freeze as it existed in Diablo 2 (where the enemy was immobilized in a block of ice) does not exist sadly.  The only equivalent in Sacred 2 is the "Stun" effect.
