Very nice pictures everyone! Ohh and how many miles are you from your "old school", Telari? Oh yeh - You can swim anywhere around here - To the left of the picture is Shoalwater Marine Park - a protected area that has some really nice islands ( Seal Island - Penguin Island - Karnac Island ) all named after the wildlife that is saturated on them and an abundance of dolphins. Also surf on some of the reefs. To the north of the picture is an area full of white sandy calm beaches. The water to the direct south is actually a large lake - full of Pelicans. A kilometer south again is the coast once more. Again miles and miles of isolated white beach. Link to comment

trd 0
here is an attempt of where I live and work. no oceans at altitude of ~4800ft. be kind, my camera skills are minimal... first, a google map of area, of course north is up. lots of farmland, hay fields, that is a grass sod farm in lower left with peach orchard just to the right of the scale indicator. that is my pond and house in center of map on about 6 acres of land. looks remote, but 150k people live in the valley and it is only 5min from i70. second, a view to the north off deck. grass needed cut severely, new craftsman zero-turn mower crippled by a broken tensioner spring. usually crazy sunny around here, odd to get clouds. third, a view from pond south towards the house. two story, ~5k ft^2 and a 3 car garage. fourth, view of rig toward the northeast. that is ~6800ft of drill pipe in the derrick. lots of canyons, can get sort of claustrophobic. at least not many rockslides seem to occur in the area so far. finally, view to the south in the canyon Link to comment
