It gives me the impression that I hugely underestimated the power of reverse engineering FX through the particle script names, so I've written a very short lua program (just three lines actually) that writes the names of all the particle scripts to a textfile. Auto.embedding is still broken but manual embedding works now. EDIT: Actually, after I found out about how the spider mount glow works, I had an inspiration that more spell fx could be scripted in surfaces.txt. That turns out to be true, the first example I found was the temple guardians jolting touch CA (which I use in my mod as inquisitor lightning shield). I now have global.res which names every Longbow, Shortbow, Recurve Bow and Blowpipe by its blueprint ID but one Short Bow. I will probably figure out which one it is since it's the only one not renamed. I have to say, being able to crack the Huffman Encoding is really impressive work by Pesmontis! PM me if you're interested in the global.res. EDIT: I didn't forget any of those I force-dropped, the one not renamed was probably the dryad starting bow. Which I probably didn't find in blueprint.txt. And I really mean bow, short bow to be exact, not blowpipe. Which is wierd cause I remember the dryad to start with a blowpipe.. Because as a spell token it does, but unclear wther it does as item modifier. There are tons of modifiers of this type, they're all at the item modifier wiki page but it almost never states wether it works with spells. Side note: I'm always getting angry when I read "does not work with spells". Spell builds, that what is fun to me, have so many unfair disadvantages compared to weapon builds. No wonder the devs needed to create single OP damage spells, so the Aspect is at least viable. Did you ever try endaphic lance with big hitbox enemies? It's ridiculous. Or ice shards. On the other hand classes without such OP damage spells like Inquisitor were completely unable to go spell build both in Vanilla and CM. Black hole won't do it in high levels anymore. Uhhh, it's so many. One that jumps out at me is BONUS_FACTION_MODIFIER which is used when Primal Mutation turns an enemy into a rabbit or chicken. BONUS_EXPERIENCE - flat XP gain I would think. BONUS_LEVEL_ALL_CA -- Now that's interesting, since there's already BONUS_ADDCA with no spez which will accomplish the same thing. BONUS_NOFLEE -- In Addendum Dmitriy did something to this bonus to make it provoke enemies (forcing melee). It will not do this in vanilla though on items or spells. It's basically just fear resistance, which is moot for the player character. BONUS_PRONETOCHANNEL -- works fine on spells, used many times in D2F. Item use questionable. Likely would only debuff the wearer. BONUS_REDUCE_ENEMYS_SPELL_REFLECTION -- works perfectly fine on spells and items in D2F, devs just never made use of it. BONUS_LIFE_REGENERATION_REL -- should work on spells and items. I think it's also used by the Constitution skill. BONUS_SHIELDFACTOR_IGNORE_POTENTIAL -- given the "potential," should work on items. Which of those work for items? I can now safely say that none of these boni are ever used in any blueprint or blueprintset bonusgroup (for EE at least). Meaning that either all of these boni have to get tested ingame on an item, or I spare all the tests for now and simply flag them all as token bonustypes, with the addition that it hasn't been tested yet on items, leaving room for improvement on a possible second version of the project. I mean I can assume that the first entry stands for the difficulty, but entry 2 and 3? I always assumed it would be bonus strength, but that is set at the bonusgroups diretly, so I have no idea. Also not sure, but I think 49 is orange.
