Akroma 0
Hail all, I'm Akroma, archmage of the Sacred world and Dutch' nemesis. In real life I go by the name of Arjen (no I did not sneeze, it's a dutch name). I'm a friendly bartender, which I reckon you can use here at any time. Next to that, a have a lovely girlfriend and a beautiful son nearly 2 years of age. Back in the old days, when I hadn't found my lovely sparring partner for life, I had all the time in the world, and I was a fanatic Ogame player (and before that, Sacred). Now I'm just taking my time and doing things the easy way. Well, I found these boards by looking up some old DAG members on the Ogame forums. First name that crossed my sight was gogo, and his sig led me to this site. I've tried looking up some people on IRC, but to no avail, so here I am. And for all the familiar faces: hide yerselves a' tharrr be magickin' around! Link to comment
Katran 0
Akroma I usually say welcome to the board and see you in the bar but since you are an ArchMage and a bartenderI say to you get behind the bar and do your magic. Oh and Weclome to FDM and I hope you have fun here! Link to comment
erialc 2
' tharrr be magickin' around! woo hoo Akky! *happy Dances and hugs be welcome thee magickin devil you* How the devil are you? Loong time no see *hugs* and I'm on my way to the bar...can you keep up? Link to comment
myles 2
Akroma! What a pleasant surprise. Gogo has been so philosophical about the power, or powah, of the sig. Well guess who it bought to us here? Now now you get behind the bar and work your magic! Cheers Link to comment
Akroma 0
Well well, what a warm and heartly welcome. *hugs Claire* *pours some vinage port and puts the cheese on the counter* I'm doing mighty fine, as you might have guessed from my first (ah yes, my VERY first) post. I'm having a blast spending time with the kiddo, which I have the time for with my occupation. I'm soon to make a promotion at my work, to a management function, and I'm fixing up my new house. Well myles, normally I don't much mind the signatures of people, but seeing as I was looking for a way to get into contact with the ol' Sacred lot (without going back to that dreaded game that took so much of my time) I just read about everything I could find. How is everyone here? Link to comment

Schot 407
Well hey hey hey Mr. Akroma. Pats on the back to yah! It's been a long time. So is this a sign of things to come then? Picking up the old cloak and staff will you? Haha. Well as you can see around here we've gotten ourselves back into it and warming up for Sacred 2. Maybe we'll see you on the servers? Congrats on the little one and the promo to come! Link to comment
Akroma 0
I might just pick up my old Battlemage in the future, and have a bit of fun with y'all, but don't pin me on that. Sacred is a game I was growing tired of, even with the new expansion pack; it just didn't do it for me. Well, to each his own of course, others have grown tired of, for instance, Ogame, whereas I still love the game. Maybe Sacred 2 will light that spark again, but then again, maybe not. I'll give it an extensive try of course, I'm not the kind of person to turn down a game before even trying it. Oh and yes, I did play M:TG for a very long time; I even had a foiled Akroma, Angel of Wrath and a foiled Ring of Gix, but I sold the lot to a friend, even my old Beta and Unlimited cards (yes, the Moxes aswell ) Link to comment
gogoblender 3,069
Ahh, welcome to DarkMatters, Akroma! Yes, there be magickings goin on here, folks the Sacred Mage has arrived! Akroma, have a look around, I think there's a lot of friendly old faces you probably recognize from the sif and ogame. As well, we have some marvellous new friends that we've had the honor of meeting over the last year. I see you've met one and yeah, he does love our bar. Akroma, your battle mage guides you created and posted over at the sif are comprehensive and very useful. Would you consider publishing there here in our battle mage section so that we can add them to our reference index of builds and guides for Sacred? And great to hear about the kid...post pix and join us in our member picture thread where a lot of us have gotten up the courage for the camera. Great seeing you here on the boards, once again welcome and have fun! gogo Link to comment

Akroma 0
Gogo, I'm more than happy to post the BM reference guide and maybe even the Ice Shards guide, but aren't they a bit outdated? The reference guide I think is over 2 years old, and the IS guide only a few months less old Link to comment
gogoblender 3,069
Hey Akroma! Well, if you think that the build concepts are solid and they still offer something of value to today's players, the formatting of those guides is great. If there is some use at all regarding all the work you put into it, definitely bring it over but perhaps with a warning that the guides are from a lower version of the game? Your call. gogo Link to comment
Akroma 0
Alright then, with a warning accompanying it it'll never hurt, and you're right, it's a shame to let all that work go to waste. Eh, while I'm at it I might as well bring over my old avatar and maybe some of that fine spirits they got stored there Link to comment
gogoblender 3,069
Awesome Akroma, lookin forward to seeing them. Very polished guides. And you just wouldn't be you without your avatar. gogo Link to comment
