Gold Island: I was unable to find a link to a page for turtles, so there is one red link there.

@ Silver You did a good job on Dryad Shaman Nelyas. I did add a link for inquisition guards. Everything else looked great.

Fixed turtle link. They are actually Small Snappers

Wow, you all are just incredible, lol. Really wonderful work. It's been a while since the wiki has been busy like this. Oh and I love the Ancestral Chamber page Knuckles. :D

+1!

Garden of crystals maybe? Haha. I'm not able to find a caption though Ysne. Are you meanng the file name? As in square-and-gardens.jpg? If so then we'll be leaving picture file names as is and allow people who upload to choose their own naming scheme. As long as it's relatively close it's fine. Ultimately, file names have never been troublesome for us. :)

P.s.

You do bring to light a good point though. When viewing that pic you linked to the file name shows up in my browser tab. That said it would be great if uploaders kept that in mind and used carefully chosen file names. That picture might have been named seraphim-monastery1.jpg instead. All the same not of great consequence but a nice added touch.

Thanks Knuckles. I will have to remember that in the future.

Np Ysne :)

I usually go to the Bestiary page and click edit on whatever page that particular enemy is on. And then just copy/paste the applicable code. What I love about the code is though the left side of the link code has to be exact, the right side we can write in whatever we want to fit our needs.

On the Golden Coast page, we have two groups of pirates. I could individually reference each pirate type but it would be cumbersome and would force the reader to click on too many links. So instead I directed them to the main High Elf Bestiary page where they can scroll thru to see the pirates. The resulting code I used was this:

[[sacred 2:High Elf Enemy| Jade Buccaneer and Bluestone Pirates]]

It's pretty handy when you have several types of the same enemy, like Goblins or Kobolds or Orcs

p.s. When I started doing the Places section (In Tyr Lysia) I wasn't linking all the towns, enemies and quest NPC's names. So there will a lot of pages that need some TLC. As you move on to other sections (like Artamark) I slowly got better at adding links.

p.p.s Should we make another thread for missing NPC pages? I've noticed you're posting about a lot about red links for quest NPC's. I'd hate to see all the info get lost in this thread. maybe we can do something similar to the photobucket thread.

I like the idea of a thread for those. I went ahead and created one. The ones listed here, that haven't already been taken care of are in my first post.

Wastelands is now Blue :)

I realized something as I was cataloging enemies and saw my link for the Ursalons was red. I never completed the Bestiairy for the Ice and Blood sections  It was right about the time I got very ill. I know I had all the pics but can not find them now

One good thing is I'm just now starting the Ice and Blood Places section so at least I'll be in the area to re-take pics anyways

I have the coastal region of Tyr Lysia done. I'm getting ready to start with Copper Peaks. I have done an initial edit to get as many of the links on the page as I can. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Copper_Peaks

I made a copy of the Western Tyr Lysia portal on that page so that link is no longer red. I will add text to that as I progress that will describe where it is.

The link for Noriath's Temple is red and I cannot get it to link to the page. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred2:Noriath's_Temple

I tried pasting the Noriath's Temple to the Copper Peaks page both with and without the underscore. What am I missing?

Link to comment

I have no idea why the link was red. I went to the Places main page and copied and pasted what I saw there onto the page and it worked even though as far as I could tell it was the exact same thing you already had on page.

Just one of those mysteries I guess. Wierd. I'm working on the Kobold Canyon quest right now.

Just dropping by to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I know, I'm late, but since I wasn't online last days... it's better to do it late than never, isn't it?

I happen to have some hours on my hands today, so I'm online now. I think, I'd make some NPC pages, since they are much easier to make, than a quest ones.

Please check all the ones I have added Silver. Most of them can use additional photos at the very least and you may have information to add.

I am checking on every quest as I move through the places, so if you would rather I take care of creating them and then you fill in with additional info, corrections and photos, that might also work.

I have started a thread for missing npcs. All of the red links are listed there.

I almost forgot, Happy New Year to you too.

The following link should probably be on the same page with the other High Elves. I'm not sure exactly where it is, but I didn't see it on the High Elf page.

Good morning Cathleen

I went to your link above, and pressed a very useful link along the left of the page called "What LInks Here" This is the tool I love when finding out pages that have been orphaned, lost links, or just how, why a page is there.

When I click it for the link above you have just posted, it gives this as info:

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Special:Whatlinkshere/Sacred_2:Guardsman

Does that help with what you are looking for, wanting to be done?

These two pages should probably be merged.

The alternative would be to add the information from the first link to the page for the second link and then leave the second link as is. I'm thinking that would be the best option.

There are two quests that refer to this area as Noriath's Corner. I'm not sure if you want to do anything about this or not.

I can definitely check that out Ysne. Can you give links to those quests you mention?

Also not a problem. I just did a bit of research on the Abbess page. The Abbess page, like all other pages have a history tab. History of the Abbess page. The Abbess page is only 2 days old so no big concern here. Before I can do anything though there might be pages on the wiki that link to the Abbess page. As gogo mentioned above we can check that.

On the Abbess page Ysne please click the "What links here" link found near the bottom left of the page under the menu links. It's the first link under "Toolbox". You will be talken to this page. On that page we see that there are infact a number of pages that are already linking to the Abbess page. Those pages will have to be fixed first.

Can you change the links on those pages so that they no longer link to Abbess and instead link to Abbess Wilgyrien please? After which could you put the content that you put on the Abbess page onto the Abbess Wilgyrien page? Then I will be able to delete the Abbess page.

Thanx! :)

I will do that right now. I did not want to do anything without consulting you first.

Another similar issue is with Ortlewyn who appears in both of the Noriath's Corner quests:

The links are

Protecting : http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Protecting_Noriath's_Corner

and

Hi ysne!

I just checked. There are still thefive links you created that still connect to your page called Abbess

Would you be able to change the links to Abbess Wilgyrien, the correct page?

After that's done, we will be able to delete the page that just says Abbess on it and all links will then correctly point to Abbess Wilgyrien

Cheers
