Cth 0
Whatever your playing style is, you should always put some thought into how you spend your resources correctly. Many people get tunnel vision once they start churning out ships and neglect other portions of their empire. Your ultimate goal should be to create an elegant account, so here are a few pointers: Colonies: You should build colonies quickly when starting out, more colonies, more mines, more profit. If you are a crasher, consider leaving one or two colony slots open for mobile attack bases. When creating colonies, make sure that they always have 200+ fields. Its a sad day when you get a moon orbiting a colony with 30 fields on it. The distrobution of your colonies depends on your style of play.. but try to spread them out. Ships/Defence vs Mines: Whatever your strategy, always always spend most of your resources upgrading your mines. Mines are always producing, and they can never be taken away like ships or defence can. Concentrate on upgrading the mines of all your colonies, one at a time. You could have 5 planets funding your mine building efforts, and the other 3 funding your ship building efforts. In case of a disaster, you will always have a strong account to fall back upon to ease the pain of rebuilding. Use profits from crashes as you like, but they are a good opportunity to upgrade mines or research Link to comment
