Playing multiplayer Sacred 2

Hello, 

 

My friend and I are trying to play together through Open Net. 

 

When we try to join a server we get: Connection Lost (10)

 

Also when I make a server and he tries to join he gets: Error (61).

 

Any help?

Note: we have S2EE with some (not all) mods. And we of course have CM Patch.

How are you trying to connect?  The official servers are long gone, so you have to use some other tool (e.g. Tunggle).

Well I have the CM Patch, that is working.

 

But currently the server kicks us when we try to join. It was working this morning tho

Hi Trueno!

  I found this topic where a team that met up here at DarkMatters pieced together the online lobby and was able to get it functioning,

 

does this topic help ? Xyrstal actually helped everyone with this project and it was a beautiful journey to finally get to see this to work again

For myself MP was an enormous part of this game's appeal, I hope you're able to get it to play online with your friends

Servers had to be restarted by the people that are hosting it. I am trying to host a server myself (just as a backup for other people) I think this would improve overall satisfaction for the people using the servers (I believe currently ran by Lain). I am also ambitious to keep up with the S2EE update, as the current EE servers are running 2.6, while EE is already above 3.0 if I am not mistaken. Either people have to run a lower EE version or servers need to be updated. Servers to be updated seems to be the highest net positive option.

Checking in here as well--hoping to get on a working server so my brother (across the country) and I can play together!

Any advice or assistance would be awesome!
