P.E.B.K.A.C. 0
I didn't notice anything in the rules stating that this is illegal. If it is, please let me know. I have lost my CD keys after several moves and not playing for a few years. No big deal, as I am playing via LAN with my roommate. We are wanting to know if anyone would be kind enough to upload us a couple of exported level 1 toons from HC. Yes, I know that I could just delete them and start over. But, HC forces you to be more careful of dying, as you can't overlook an accidental death from forgetting to buy potions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.E.B.K.A.C. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,039
Hi, P.E.B.K.A.C., welcome to DarkMatters Regarding your lost CD keys, if you contact Ascaron at this addy here: http://forum.sacredeng.ascaron-net.com/sho...ead.php?t=43620 They're probably the ones who can help you find those keys. Good luck! gogo Link to comment
masteff 64
Could probably manage to export one of each class from HC and then put the character files into a zip. It'll be a few hours before I could get to it but I could PM you a link. I'll have to figure out a safe spot to post a zip file. Note: you could actually replace the default toon files w/ the HC versions (I'd back up the defaults just so you have them). Then when you use the create new character feature I think they'd be HC (can't promise it would carry over but worth a shot). I'll try it out on mine and if it works I'll PM the instructions w/ the zip link. Link to comment
P.E.B.K.A.C. 0
Thanks a ton Masteff! This is exactly what I have been looking for. I will try your idea about replacing the default files and let you know. Link to comment
masteff 64
Actually, I tried it and it didn't work. I could swear that I remember being able to replace the default starting files. I'll play w/ it some more. Just be sure to save the zip file on your computer so you'll always have the source files to copy from. Edited March 20, 2008 by masteff Link to comment
