  1. Not bad. I don't tend to dig gold hardware, but it's jiving with that finish.
  2. Not to bump an old thread, but I rather like that composition!
  3. I started a photo a day for a year project the day after my birthday this year. Feel free to peruse what I've been posting here on my livejournal - http://ankhanu.livejournal.com/ I'm largely shooting with a Nikon D80, which I primarily bought so my wife could pursue a career in portraiture. That kinda fizzled out and the camera wasn't getting a lot of use. The project has made me not be lazy and just use the damn thing, with some (imo) good results I'm expanding my skills and practicing my eye, and just using the expensive piece of equipment. Just a note, except where I say otherwise, the only photo editing I do is to resize the image for upload; no touch-ups, no cropping, no filtering, etc. I shoot what I shoot and that's that
  4. Yeah, it's been a while Kel's doing well, and we still only have the one girl, she's 8 now, and we just had our 9th anniversary on Wednesday! Ya know, we spot a Sacred expansion, I think, but never the actual game itself... but when we see it, we think of you guys and consider getting it. I think Kel's system might run it ok, it runs Fallout 3 well enough. We'll see what happens
  5. I now have... .: Acoustic 6-string x3 .: Acoustic 12-sting x1 .: Electric 6-string x4 .: 4-string bass x1 .: 4-string fretless bass x1 .: 5-string bass x1 .: 6-string bass (VI style shortscale E-e) x1 .: mandolin x1 .: ukulele x1 and some winds, keys and percussion Kelyndra's father passed away last year, and three of those acoustics, and electric and the mandolin came from him. Playing Montreal is vaguely possible... in a way I'm in a different band than I was last time I was on here; if I do say so, it's somewhat better (Joe Costello & the High Tide). We were just in the studio last night recording a few more demo tracks (I used the two guitars pictured), hopefully they'll be ready soon. Unfortunately, our drummer lives in Newfoundland and Joe and I are both parents, so arranging any kind of tour is a bit of an issue. We do have plans to play in the Atlantic provinces anyway. As for Cth, as far as I know, he's still out in Alberta; he hasn't really kept in touch with anyone here, I generally only get updates from his mom, and no marriages have gone down
  6. Most of my goodies have been music purchases as of late. In January, I bought a Fender Jaguar '66 Classic model And about 2 weeks ago, I bought a shortscale, 6-string E-e tuned bass, a Schecter Hellcat VI
  7. Phew, it's been a while since I've been around here... how you guys doin? My wife took this about a month ago;
  8. I created mine in 1996 or 1997, combining the words ankh and inconnu; I just liked the phonetics of it. By a slight stroke of serendipity, it ends up having a decent meaning as well, combining the meanings of the two words; with the ankh being the symbol of life and immortality in Ancient Egypt, and inconnu meaning hidden, or an unknown person or thing. Combining the two you end up with hidden life or something of the sort.
  9. Despite the fact that we've had cold, wet weather for the past 2.5weeks, it's not always winter here, despite the wintery Google Earth shots. Cth lived a little north of my place in the second pic.
  10. Terrible stuff, ain't it? Nice pic, Telari. Not a huge fan of Maiden, but ya know, lots of my friends were Well, since I'm here, I may as well post a pic take last Saturday, playing my first gig with my current band;
  11. Lucky you! Did you get into the beta simply from having registered with the official website? I've been hoping to get in for months. Like Ganto, I followed the link in this thread and registered. Just luck I suppose.
  12. Yeah, I played this a few months back... turned out to be garbage.
  13. I sent you a reply in-game the other day, Cykes. Long and the short of it: We're currently doing a set overhaul, getting more level 100+ sets and dropping some <50 sets... and we always ask before taking equipped items.
  14. I got an email late last week accepting me into the beta. There's a NDA, so I can't talk about any specifics or what have you, but so far it's pretty nice, and HOMM-y. They're not screwing it up
  15. Yeah, TH is a good one to max out. Even if you're not buying gear, you can buy FSP in the marketplace.
